| In today’s world,all countries have elevated the cultivation of innovative talents and highly skilled talents to the height of national strategies,among which the competition for STEM talents is particularly important,and it plays a pivotal role for countries to seize the opportunity of the fourth revolution and promote the intelligent upgrade of manufacturing industry,so strengthening STEM education is an important reform direction for talent cultivation,but combined with China’s national conditions,the current education landscape is difficult to carry out the complete meaning STEM curriculum.As the foundation of science,physics is also inseparable from mathematics,engineering,and technology,so it is necessary to study the practice of high school physics teaching based on the concept of STEM education.The integration of STEM education and physics teaching in China is still in its initial stage,so this paper starts from the current situation of integrating STEM education concept into high school physics teaching,analyzes and integrates the existing teaching models,proposes high school physics teaching models and teaching strategies based on STEM education concept,and supplements them with specific case designs to provide a reference for front-line teachers.In this paper,the following studies were conducted: in the first part,the background of the study was described,the current status of research on STEM education and the integration of STEM education with physics subjects at home and abroad was introduced,and the research methods and contents of this paper were determined;in the second part,STEM,STEM education and STEM literacy were defined,and the relevant theoretical foundations were introduced;in the third part,the high school physics teachers and students in Yan’an City were questionnaire survey to understand the current situation of the integration of STEM education concept in high school physics education and conduct a feasibility analysis;in the fourth part analyzes the advantages and disadvantages of existing STEM teaching models on the basis of teaching design principles,integrates and proposes a high school physics teaching model based on STEM education concept and proposes corresponding teaching strategies;In the fifth part,we completed two specific case designs and teaching practices of "laws of free fall motion" and "logic circuits and integrated circuits",and analyzed the teaching effects based on the results of student self-assessment scales and student interviews.The study shows that the teaching practice of high school physics based on the STEM education concept has achieved a good teaching effect,which greatly improves the students’ motivation to learn physics while they master STEM knowledge. |
