In recent years,under the influence of the global economic situation,individual employment pressure is increasing,and the employment structural contradiction is more prominent.Improving the quality of employment and realizing the occupational status is an important means to create a fair and open social stratum structure and an equal social pattern.The study uses stata and spss26.0 to explore the influencing factors and promotion strategies of occupational status based on the data of CGSS2017.Firstly,this study makes a descriptive analysis of the sample data.Secondly,it uses multiple logistic regression model to analyze the influence of education level,political status,father’s occupational status,family economic status,gender and household registration on individual occupational status acquisition.Thirdly,grouped regression analysis is used to explore the gender differences of the influencing factors of occupational status acquisition.Finally,factor analysis is used to more clearly and accurately get the influence of ascribed factors,achieved factors and institutional factors on the acquisition of occupational status.Through data analysis,the following conclusions are drawn: firstly,the achieved factors have a significant impact on the acquisition of occupational status.The education level has an important impact on the acquisition of occupational status.Higher education levels are key to better career status for individuals.Secondly,ascribed factors have a significant impact on the acquisition of occupational status.Parents’ occupational status and family economic status affect the acquisition of occupational status.Thirdly,institutional factors have a significant impact on the acquisition of occupational status.Political background and household registration factors affect the occupational status of individuals.Fourth,gender also showed a significant effect on the acquisition of occupational status,and there are some gender differences in the influencing factors of occupational status.Fifthly,the interaction between social capital and human capital determines the acquisition of occupational status.Based on the above research results,the author puts forward the following suggestions from the social level,the government level and the individual level: firstly,the society should provide assistance for the acquisition of occupational status,including advocating the establishment of a scientific outlook on talents and creating an equal and harmonious employment atmosphere.Secondly,the government should strengthen the sense of responsibility and leading role,including standardizing the competitive environment of the employment market,promoting the fair allocation of educational resources and deepening the reform of the personnel system.Finally,individuals should be driven by internal motivation to improve their occupational status,including multi-dimensional accumulation of human capital and accumulating reasonable social capital.Women should improve their education level.
