| From the beginning of the reform and opening-up policy,China has gradually loosened control over the original population distribution,and large numbers of rural people have flowed to cities.The number of children who move with them has also increased year by year.The family education of the children of the migrant workers in the compulsory education stage has become the focus of social attention.With the continuous advancement of urbanization in Chengdu and the increase of migrant workers,more and more children of migrant workers migrate with their parents,which makes the education of children of migrant workers in Chengdu face a lot of pressure and challenges.From the perspective of a teacher in a public primary school with migrant children,this paper,based on a field survey of 21 migrant families in QX Primary School in Jinniu District,Chengdu,uses qualitative research methods to deeply explore the family education status of migrant workers’ children.Based on the field investigation of migrant workers’ children’s families,this paper presents the problems existing in the process of family education from three aspects.Based on the analysis and interpretation of field data,this paper analyzes and reflects on the prominent problems faced by the family education of the children of migrant workers in cities,and tries to put forward effective strategies to improve the family education behavior of the children of migrant workers.From the three aspects of school,family and society,the suggestions include guiding the new educational management form,creating an inclusive school cultural environment,looking for a new model of home-school cooperation,constructing supportive family environment and social support,etc. |
