The classroom under the "Internet + education" reform should takes learners as the starting point,educational researchers combine with the new requirements of the development of educational informatization,integrate classroom with emerging technologies to meet the realistic learning needs of learners,and innovate teaching methods,approaches and ideas.Innovation of methods and ideas.The wide knowledge of geography in junior high school and the difficulty of understanding spatial abstract knowledge lead to the low interest of students in learning,which affects the effect of geography learning.This study introduces AR technology as a teaching resource and method into junior high school geography classroom,builds an all-round blended geography learning environment online and offline constructs the Blended Teaching Model of junior high school Geography based on AR application,satisfies the diversified learning needs in the digital era,and realizes complementary advantages.Through the literature research method,the current research status of AR technology in education and the current research status of blended teaching are sorted out,the advantages of AR technology and blended teaching applied to middle school geography are analyzed,and the ideas of combining AR technology and blended teaching are discussed.Guided by theories such as constructivism,we analyze learners’ characteristics,learning motivation,and academic emotion.Furthermore,the nature,purpose and content of the curriculum are clarified according to the junior high school geography curriculum standards.Junior high school geography blended teaching environment with AR technology support is constructed for the learning needs,which eventually forms the Blended Teaching Model of junior high school Geography based on AR application,including three stages: preparation stage,implementation stage,and evaluation stage.The implementation stage includes three parts: before,during,and after class.With this teaching model as the design framework,two teaching cases of "Earth’s Motion(Review Lesson)" and "Interpretation of Topographic Maps(Review Lesson)" were designed and the teaching experiments were conducted in two parallel classes,with the experimental class adopting the Blended Teaching Model of junior high school Geography based on AR application and the control class adopting the traditional multimedia middle school geography teaching model.Through the teaching practice process and feedback,combined with data from questionnaires,achievement tests and teacher-student interviews before and after the experiment,the role and application effects of the Blended Teaching Model of junior high school Geography based on AR application were discussed from different perspectives.The study data and interview results concluded that the Blended Teaching Model of junior high school Geography based on AR application led to better learning outcomes for students and helped to improve geography performance.There were significant differences in five dimensions: knowledge interest,cognitive development,learning to use,honor acquisition,and pursuit of rewards,which helped improve students’ internal and external motivation for geography learning.It can stimulate students’ positive geography of pleasure,pride,and satisfaction to a certain extent.The model also stimulates students’ positive academic emotions of pleasure,pride,and satisfaction,to some extent,reduces negative emotions of frustration,and has insignificant effects on anxiety and anger.Furthermore,the model has flexible and diverse learning resources,mixed teaching methods,good classroom application,and high recognition and satisfaction of teachers and students.However,there are still realistic problems in teaching equipment,learning resources,platform functions,and the ability to improve practical teaching,which require the joint efforts of schools,teachers,and students to continuously help students gain a better learning experience and promote their overall development.
