Population aging is the inevitable outcome of social and economic development to a certain stage,and it is also a problem that countries all over the world must face in the process of development.In recent years,with the rapid development of China’s social economy,the process of population aging has also been further accelerated.The impact and challenges of population aging on all aspects of social and economic development have also been widely concerned by the whole society.Compared with cities,the aging problem of rural population caused by population mobility and migration in rural areas is particularly serious.If a large number of young and middle-aged people are lost in a region,the rapid loss of population will inevitably lead to the further acceleration of the process of population aging in the region.At the same time,the impact of population loss and aging on the development of various social and economic undertakings in the region will become increasingly prominent.Tumen City,Yanbian Korean Autonomous Prefecture,as a small border town in China’s border areas,has seen a significant decline in its current population in recent years due to factors such as population loss,which has further exacerbated the degree of population aging in Tumen City.Population loss and aging have seriously hindered the development of local social and economic undertakings,The loss of a large number of rural young and middle-aged people has further aggravated the degree of aging in rural areas of Tumen City.The more serious population loss and aging problems have had a profound impact on the development of social and economic undertakings in rural areas of Tumen City.This paper aims to take the rural areas of Tumen City,Yanbian Korean Autonomous Prefecture as an example,through field visits and other forms to deeply understand the current situation of population loss and aging in rural areas of Tumen City,analyze and study the current situation,causes and impacts of rural population loss and aging in Tumen City,and put forward countermeasures and suggestions for the problems found and existing.At the initial stage of the study,the author first thoroughly understood the problem of population loss and aging in rural areas in China by consulting,collecting and analyzing a large number of relevant literature on population loss and aging in rural areas,so as to clarify the direction and lay a solid theoretical foundation for the writing of this paper.Secondly,during the writing of the paper,through field visits,data comparison,data analysis,problem summary and other methods,this paper analyzes and expounds the current situation,characteristics and causes of rural population loss and aging in Tumen City,and lists and expounds the impact of population loss and aging on the development of rural undertakings in Tumen City.Finally,along the idea of solving problems and putting forward countermeasures,this paper puts forward countermeasures,suggestions and conclusions for the problems found and existing from multiple levels and angles.The following conclusions are drawn from the study.Affected by factors such as population migration,population flow and the decline of natural population growth rate,the rural areas of Tumen City are facing serious problems of population loss and aging in recent years.Population loss and aging have brought varying degrees of impact on the development of society,economy,culture and many other aspects in the rural areas of Tumen City.In the face of the increasing population loss and aging problem,this paper explores and solves the impact and challenges of population loss and aging in rural areas of Tumen City from the aspects of promoting the return of outgoing population,developing modern agriculture,cultivating excellent cultural inheritors,and strengthening social management in border areas.
