| Special Olympics is the highest organization form of Special Olympics.Its purpose is to provide a sports event for persons with intellectual disabilities to participate in sports activities,tap their potential,display skills,exchange and share sports happiness.So far,with the active efforts of functional departments and associations at all levels,China has successfully held seven National Special Olympics Games and various local grass-roots Special Olympics competitions of different scales and types,providing a opportunity to participate in sports.As the participants of the Special Olympics Games are mentally handicapped persons with mental development barriers and insufficient cognitive and adaptive behavioral abilities,there are greater difficulties in organizing the Games,so they are relatively small in scale,weak in influence and social attention.It is also low.In order to better organize and host the Special Olympics Games,this article uses literature methods,expert interviews,questionnaire surveys and other research methods,starting from the perspective of humanistic psychology,and according to the needs of human development and work.Summarize the characteristics of the organization of Special Olympics Games at all levels and various types in our country,analyze their influencing factors,and provide useful exploration for better organization and hosting of Special Olympics Games.The main results of the study are as follows:1 At present,my country’s Special Olympics Games at all levels have achieved good development,both in the setting of the events and the scale of the games are in a good development trend.However,there are differences in the development of Special Olympics Games at all levels in our country.The organization of the National Special Olympics Games is more standardized,which is reflected in the scale of the event and the setting of events,and athletes can reach a certain scale.The development of the Provincial Special Olympics Games has gradually become more standardized and professional,but there is still a big gap compared with the national Special Olympics Games.Therefore,effectively learning from the advanced experience of the National Special Olympics Games is conducive to promoting the better development of the Provincial Special Olympics Games.Municipal Special Olympics Games,as an important part of my country’s Special Olympics,are currently developing relatively slowly.County(district/school)level Special Olympics Games will be quite different from national,provincial and municipal Special Olympics Games in terms of the scale of participation,project settings,organizational specialization,and competitive level.The degree of standardization and organization still needs to be further improved.2 The organization and process of Special Olympics Games are roughly the same as those of regular sports games.The attitudes and opinions of the referees,coaches,athletes and other participating subjects towards the competition can often reflect the pros and cons of the competition.The survey found that: referees have a high degree of satisfaction with the game personnel and facilities;coaches have a high degree of satisfaction with the guarantee services and game personnel;and athletes and their families have a high degree of satisfaction with the game personnel and facilities.Notice: The organization and work ability of the competition personnel,the venue equipment and the logistics support services are the main factors that affect the quality and effect of the competition.3 As the participants of the Special Olympics are mentally handicapped persons,the organization of the Special Olympics shows obvious charity,integration and support,universality of rules,encouragement of participation,complexity of event organization,and project simplicity.And operational flexibility.4 There are three factors that affect the organization of the Special Olympics Games at the grassroots level in my country: macro,meso,and micro.Among them,macro-factor policy support,media propaganda and atmosphere creation effects,and the importance of local governments are affected;meso-factors are affected by three aspects: material guarantee,safety guarantee,and system guarantee;micro-factors are mainly affected by the ability of managers and volunteer Service,the degree of support of athletes’ family members and other aspects.5 In view of the influence on the organization of grass-roots Special Olympic Games in China,this paper puts forward some suggestions(1)We should increase the support of the main bodies for the organization of the special Olympic Games.(2)To construct the organization system of Special Olympics.(3)We should strengthen the construction of the Special Olympics organization team. |
