| As a special type of hotel with state-owned property,University Affiliated Hotels shoulder the dual mission of "service and management".They should not only serve the development of universities,but also independently operate and face the challenge of market competition.Most University Affiliated Hotels try to survive in the crevice between the two realities.At present,there are many problems in University Affiliated Hotels,such as weak operating autonomy,multi-head management,separation of government and enterprise,difficulty in complex coordination,scattered reception resources,difficulty in building their own management team,lagging service model and obsolete facilities,which seriously hinder the sustainable and healthy development of University Affiliated Hotels.Therefore,it is of both theoretical significance and practical guiding value to explore the reasonable management mode in line with the characteristics of University Affiliated Hotels in the new era,solve its existing problems,balance the demands of various stakeholders,promote the preservation and appreciation of state-owned assets,and gradually realize benign and sustainable development.On the basis of literature review,this paper uses stakeholder theory,corporate governance and corporate management theories as the main theoretical basis,and comprehensively uses literature analysis,interview investigation,case studies,comparative analysis and other research methods to carry out the research.Firstly,this paper defines the meaning of University Affiliated Hotel,analyzes its current situation and special properties.According to the geographical distribution,23 representative hotels(reception service centers)of "Double First-class" universities were selected from six regions in China as samples,to sort out their current main management modes and analyze the advantages and disadvantages.Secondly,considering that A University International Academic Exchange Co.,Ltd.is a typical representative of University Affiliated Hotel management mode innovation,this paper takes it as a case study.This paper induces the reform of its management system and mode,summarizes the problems faced and analyzes the interest requirements of its core stakeholders to offer advice on the optimization of management mode by improving corporate governance and corporate management.Finally,based on the empirical analysis of the case,this paper puts forward feasible suggestions for exploring the management mode innovation and implementation plan in line with the characteristics of University Affiliated Hotels in the new era. |
