| In October 2014,"Opinions on Accelerating the Development of the Sports Industry and Promoting Sports Consumption" was promulgated,which pushed a new vigorous development of the sports industry.Football has always been an important task for the developing sports industry and building sports power.Football industry has played an increasingly significant role in promoting the sports industry in China.Under the "Golden Dollar Football" model,international influence,commercial value,and ratings of the Chinese Super League have steadily increased.However,the Chinese Super League clubs generally suffer serious deficit,and their comprehensive competitiveness has not been effectively improved.Therefore,a set of suitable Chinese Super League clubs has been created.The comprehensive competitiveness evaluation system of scientificity,objectivity and ease of operation has become an urgent problem to be solved.At the same time,academic research in China and abroad on competitiveness is mainly stay about sports industrial,and the existing literature usually discusses factors which affecting competitiveness from the perspective of a single variable,and rarely constructs a series of index evaluation systems for in-depth investigation,which is difficult to support the development practice of clubs.Therefore,this article has important theoretical value and practical significance for the research on the comprehensive competitiveness of Chinese Super League clubs.This article is mainly composed of five parts.Firstly,it introduces the background and purpose of the topic;secondly,it systematically reviews the theoretical basis and literature review of corporate competitiveness and professional club competitiveness,and outlines theories about club competitiveness,including competition.The concept and theory of power,the theory of corporate competitiveness and the research of professional sports clubs,explore the connotation of the competitiveness of Chinese Super League clubs.It also summarizes the current index evaluation system used at home and abroad;the third part is the empirical research part of this article.This article is based on the data of 16 Chinese Super League clubs in the 2019 season of the Chinese Super League,and is constructed according to the principles of objectivity,scientificity,systematization and operability.The comprehensive competitiveness evaluation index system of the Chinese Super League clubs is used to identify the three major factors of competition performance,championship potential and urban economy by factor analysis,and calculate the comprehensive competitiveness score,and use cluster analysis to classify it into top,super,top,Five levels of quasi-first-class and ordinary.The selection of cross-sectional data for 2019 in this paper not only avoids the lack of multiple key indicators of the Chinese Super League 2020 season affected by the epidemic,but also avoids the problem of the Chinese Super League’s promotion and demotion system and dynamics that make the participating teams different every year and not suitable for panel data research.Therefore,this article uses the cross-sectional data of 2019 to demonstrate,which is closer to the actual situation of the league.In the end,this paper conducts a horizontal and vertical comparative analysis of the quantitative data on the comprehensive competitiveness of various clubs.It is concluded that the comprehensive competitiveness of Chinese Super League clubs presents two-level differentiation,weak overall strength,higher thresholds for crossing different levels,and intensified internal competition at lower levels.And put forward targeted countermeasures and suggestions. |
