The "Strategic Plan for Rural Rejuvenation(2018-2022)" issued by the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the State Council clearly stated that priority should be given to the development of rural education,the implementation of the rural teacher support plan,and the continued implementation of the special post plan for teachers in rural compulsory education schools(referred to as "special Post plan "),build a strong rural teacher team.The rural revitalization must realize the revitalization of rural education,and the urgent task of rural education revitalization is to introduce talents.Since the implementation of the special post teacher policy in 2006,a large number of special post teachers have been sent to rural schools,which has largely alleviated the shortage of rural teachers.However,due to the loss of grassroots talents,there are still a lot of gaps in rural school teacher positions.And with the expansion of colleges and universities,the number of graduates has surged.In 2019,the number of college graduates nationwide reached 8.34 million,setting a new record for the number of graduates in 10 years.Although the group of college students is facing the problem of difficult employment,their willingness to apply for the special post teacher policy is not strong.This status does not match the social needs.It is of great research significance to understand the status quo of college students’ career wishes,explore the professional motivations behind them,and optimize policies based on their influencing factors,rationally guide,enhance the implementation of special post teacher policies,and provide more talents for rural education.This study analyzes and organizes a large amount of literature,clarifies the concepts of professional motivation and professional willingness,and introduces domestic and foreign scholars’ motivation measurement tools to divide the professional motivation of college students applying for special post teachers into five factors:achievement dedication,ease and stability,and independent play.,Salary and welfare,and employment pressure,and through questionnaire surveys and data analysis,it is found that the current level of college students applying for special post teachers is relatively low.The five factors of professional motivation have a significant impact on the willingness to apply for examinations.Welfare and employment pressure can effectively predict their career wishes.Finally,according to the research results,some opinions and suggestions were put forward from the three levels of government,colleges and students.
