| At present,China is in the decisive stage of building a well-off society in an all-round way. From the perspective of living isolation,it is of great theoretical and practical significance to study the mechanism of poverty alleviation and poverty reduction of chronic Multidimensional Poverty,so as to solve regional overall poverty, alleviate relative poverty and achieve the strategic goal of building a well-off society in an all-round way.In the living space, the lack of geographical resources will lead to the continuous poverty of families, thus forming the space poverty trap. Then, what kind of attributes of the family will be restricted by geographical resources, which will lead to the family falling into the space poverty trap? Since ancient times,China has been a relational society. As a "special resource",the role of family social network in anti-poverty has been highly concerned. With the continuous advancement of theoretical research on spatial poverty, the research on family social network has been paid more and more attention. At present,China’s poverty reduction is in a new stage of transformation from absolute poverty to relative poverty.A correct understanding of the characteristics of chronic multi-dimensional poverty needs to be considered not only from income, consumption and other economic factors, but also from the social attributes of the family. Therefore, from the perspective of family social network, this paper constructs the theoretical framework of residential isolation, family social network and chronic multi-dimensional poverty, dynamically examines the chronic multi-dimensional poverty in China, and empirically tests the impact mechanism of residential isolation, family social network and chronic multi-dimensional poverty, and finally puts forward policy recommendations. The research contents and conclusions are as follows:(1)This paper uses the data of China’s family follow-up survey(CFPS)in 2010,2012,2014 and 2016 to measure the chronic multi-dimensional poverty of Chinese families. It is found that with the continuous increase of observation period, the incidence of chronic multi-dimensional poverty shows a "cliff" decline, but with the passage of time, the decline rate of chronic multi-dimensional poverty is slowing down, which shows that although the traditional poverty alleviation model has achieved remarkable results, the decline rate of poverty incidence is slowing down, and the poverty reduction effect of the traditional poverty alleviation model is decreasing year by year.(2)Based on the theory of spatial poverty trap, this paper constructs the mechanism of residential isolation affecting chronic multi-dimensional poverty, and empirically tests the mechanism of residential isolation affecting chronic multi-dimensional poverty. It is found that the residential isolation of families in the geographical space will limit the rate of return on capital of families, make the economic consumption capacity of families continue to decline, and thus fall into the poverty trap. This shows that residential segregation will aggravate the degree of deprivation of multi-dimensional poverty of families, resulting in chronic poverty of families.(3)The existing research shows that family social network plays an important role in poverty alleviation in such a human society. This paper continues to use the data of China’s family tracking survey(CFPS)to empirically test the impact mechanism of residential segregation on family social network. It is found that the family’s living isolation in geographical space will limit the development of family social network, that is,the greater the degree of living isolation, the less social network resources the family has.In such a human society in China, family social network can alleviate poverty, while residential isolation can inhibit the development of family social network.(4)This paper further studies the direct and indirect effects of residential segregation on chronic multi-dimensional poverty with the family social network as the intermediary variable. The results of intermediary effect test show that residential isolation will not only directly affect chronic Multidimensional Poverty, but also indirectly affect chronic Multidimensional Poverty by suppressing family social network.family social network has intermediary effect in residential isolation and chronic multidimensional poverty. The maximum proportion of intermediary effect in the total effect is about 21.31%,that is to say,"residential isolation→family social networks→chronic multidimensional poverty"is a mechanism of action. In areas with inconvenient transportation, blocked information and low education level, residential isolation restrains the family social network, reduces the ability of the family to get rid of poverty independently, and causes the family to sink into chronic poverty. In fact, social network is an important way for the family to obtain opportunities to seek wealth. |
