Research On The Impact Of Community Elderly Care Service Supply On The Quality Of Life Of Childless Elderly People

Since the reform and opening up,thanks to a good social and economic environment,our country’s social and economic development,the People’s living standards have been greatly enhanced.In the process of development in recent decades,China’s population and development has also undergone tremendous and profound changes.To prevent the poverty,disability and marginalization of the elderly,especially the childless elderly,and to strengthen the old-age care services,become our country’s current integrated solution to the problem of the elderly population,to achieve active aging and healthy aging of the important content.“We will implement a national strategy to respond positively to population ageing,develop elderly care services and industries,improve services for the elderly living alone and promote basic elderly care for all,” the report said,to construct a more reasonable social support system and provide necessary community service for the aged without children is an important link to perfect our country’s service system for the aged,and also to improve the health level and quality of life of the aged without children,the inevitable choice to deal with the risk of small-scale family support for the aged.Against this background,based on theories such as social support and quality of life,this study analyzes the impact of community elderly care service supply on the quality of life of childless elderly people,it will help us to understand the current situation and existing problems in the construction of community old-age service system,which is of certain theoretical significance to enrich the study of social old-age service system for special elderly groups such as childless elderly,it also helps to break the institutional bottleneck of “Market failure ”in the provision of community old-age service,and provides theoretical support for the further construction and improvement of the social old-age service supply system.Based on this,this paper uses data from the 2018 China follow-up survey of factors affecting the health of the elderly(CLHLS)conducted by the Center for Healthy Aging and development,Peking University,research on the impact of community elderly care services on the quality of life of childless elderly people.The main contents of the analysis include the descriptive statistical analysis of the status quo of the provision and quality of life of the childless elderly in the community and the empirical analysis based on the ordinal Logit multiple regression model.After the research,the main findings of this paper are as follows:(1)with the social attention to the old-age security in the context of aging,the current supply of childless elderly community pension service in our country shows an upward trend in general;Moreover,there is a close relationship between the provision of community old-age service and the quality of life of the childless elderly.(2)the provision of community care for the aged has a significant impact on the quality of life of the childless elderly.Compared with the childless elderly without any community care,the quality of life of the childless elderly with community care for the aged is higher,at the same time,the influence of community care for the aged on the quality of life of the childless elderly is different,and the positive influence on the quality of life of the childless elderly is strengthened with the improvement of the quality of life of the childless elderly.(3)the provision of emotional and instrumental community care for the elderly has a significant positive effect on the quality of life of the childless elderly,moreover,the effect of emotional community pension service on the quality of life of childless elderly is greater than that of instrumental community pension service.(4)there is heterogeneity in the impact of the provision of community old-age care services on the quality of life of the childless elderly,which has a significant positive effect on the quality of life of the rural,female and elderly childless elderly,however,it has no significant effect on the quality of life of urban,male and childless elderly.(5)further analysis found that outdoor exercise had a significant mediating effect on the quality of life of the childless elderly,that is to say,community care for the aged can enhance the quality of life of childless elderly by strengthening their active participation in outdoor exercise.Therefore,this paper suggests: to play a leading role led by the government,to enhance the diversified supply of community elderly care services,to establish and improve the elderly health management system,to strengthen the provision of elderly spiritual and cultural services;To innovate the multi-dimensional accurate poverty identification mechanism,and to enhance the support for the elderly vulnerable groups;to advance the process of community aging transformation,and to promote the construction of age-friendly communities;to improve the old-age security system for the elderly disadvantaged groups,we will protect the rights and interests of the elderly in social security.
