This paper takes a brigade in the northern theater as the research object and starts from the research status at home and abroad firstly to explores some typical talent loss models.Meanwhile,finding out a suitable research path for the problems of the loss of technical sergeants in our grass-roots forces based on the Price-Mueller(2000)model.Through interviews with technical sergeants,we can preliminarily understand their views on resignation and straighten up the relevant factors in line with the professiona l characteristics of soldiers.Then,the adaptability of the model is improved to ensure that the model can adapt to the current reality of grass-roots technical sergeants to the greatest extent.Combined with the model,we made an online questionnaire and randomly selected 156 samples to investigate and understand the current situation of talent loss in grass-roots forces.The purpose is exploring the impact of external environment,interna l human resource management and personal reasons of technical sergeant on job satisfaction as well as turnover intention.Next,SPSS analysis is carried out on the data obtained from the questionnaire to find out the key factors affecting the loss of technical sergeant.Comprehensively the relevant theories of human resource management is used to analyze the reasons for the loss of technical sergeants from the aspects of career environment,career development,career pressure and career attribution.We can draw a conclusion that attracting talents,training talents,activating talents and retaining talents are the basic method to curb the talent loss.Lastly,the countermeasures of retaining technical sergeant in grass-roots forces are put forward.The basic conclusions of this paper are as follows:(1)Price-Mueller(2000)model has certain applicability to the study of sergeant retirement and can reflect the impact of changing conditions on sergeant service attitude.(2)The reasons of affecting the service attitude of technical sergeants can be summarized as four factors including career ownership,career development,career environment and career pressure.Moreover,various factors interact and influence each other to change the wil ingness of technical sergeants to retire.(3)In view of the reasons for the retirement of technical sergeants,this paper puts forward feasible solutions and suggestions from four aspects containing career ownership,career development,career environment and career pressure.The research and exploration of this paper has a certain reference significance to improve the current grass-roots talent retention countermeasures and enhance the combat effectiveness of the army.
