Research On The Impact Of The Development Of Digital Finance On Financial Fraud

In recent years,driven by digital technologies such as cloud computing,big data and blockchain,digital finance has achieved rapid development.At the same time,its risk exposure is increasing day by day,and financial fraud is always emerging,which has seriously hurt residents’ trust in digital technology and become an important threat to the steady development of the digital financial industry.Such problems need to be deeply analyzed and solved in order to protect the legitimate rights of consumers,to achieve stable and healthy economic development and maintain national financial security.Therefore,based on the criminal judgment of the crime of financial fraud on the judgment document network from 2014 to 2019,this thesis uses the text mining method to obtain the data of financial fraud and matches it with the "digital inclusive financial index" issued by Peking University to empirically test the impact and heterogeneity of the development of digital finance on the occurrence of financial fraud.It is found that the development of digital finance has a significant negative impact on the occurrence of local financial fraud;The development of digital finance has a greater negative impact on financial fraud with high dependence on technology;The higher the level of local economic development and the education of residents,the stronger the inhibitory effect of digital financial development on financial fraud.The above empirical conclusions show that in the era of digital economy,in order to control financial fraud,the government should continue to promote the development of digital finance in various regions,further support the continuous combination and innovation of finance and science and technology,accelerate the construction of infrastructure which is related to digital finance and improve the coverage of digital finance;implement differentiated control measures for different types of financial fraud.While raising the level of economic development,increasing employment and improving social security,the government should improve residents’ education level,further improve the popularization of higher education and enhance residents’ awareness of the rule of law.
