Research On Mao Zedong’s Women’s Liberation Thought During The New Democratic Revolution

The issue of women is a long-standing historical issue.Since the emergence of selfishness and oppression,women have always been in a position of exploitation and oppression.The improvement of women’s status reflects the level of human civilization.Although women’s liberation originated in the West and originated from the development of capitalism,in practice,China’s women’s liberation has achieved world-renowned achievements.Currently,China is in a new era of socialism with Chinese characteristics,facing increasingly complex women’s issues.This reality requires drawing wisdom from the historical experience of Mao Zedong’s women’s liberation thought.This article is divided into four parts,the first part is an introduction.The second part discusses in detail and systematically the formation conditions of Mao Zedong’s women’s liberation thought during the New Democratic Revolution period,and specifically analyzes the era background and theoretical origin of its formation.It includes the following aspects: the tragic situation of Chinese women under the feudal patriarchal system,China’s initial exploration of women’s liberation since modern times,the thought of gender equality of the Western bourgeoisie,the thought of women’s liberation of classical Marxist writers,and the thought of women’s liberation of early Chinese Marxists.The third part discusses the main content of Mao Zedong’s thought on women’s liberation during the New Democratic Revolution,including the following aspects: exposing the social roots of women’s oppression,establishing the goal of women’s liberation,exploring ways for women’s liberation,and emphasizing the important role of women in revolution and production.The fourth part comprehensively discusses the historical significance and contemporary enlightenment of Mao Zedong’s women’s liberation thought during this period.On the basis of enriching and developing Marxist women’s liberation thought,Mao Zedong has effectively changed the historical destiny of Chinese women and truly realized the legal equality of the status of men and women in China.This idea,tempered by history,has inspired women’s liberation in the new era of socialism with Chinese characteristics to continue to adhere to the leadership of the Party and the pragmatic approach to solve a series of women’s problems that have emerged in today’s society.
