General Secretary Xi Jinping stressed that the ideals and beliefs of young people are related to the future of the country.The country and universities have always attached great importance to the education of college students’ ideals and beliefs,and with the development of the big data era,the education of college students’ ideals and beliefs has also undergone changes.The report of the 20 th National Congress of the Communist Party of China clearly points out that promoting the digitization of education.The 2023 National People’s Congress and National People’s Congress explicitly proposed to vigorously implement the digital education strategy.The deep integration of big data,a digital technology,and education,is of great value in studying the education of college students’ ideals and beliefs in the era of big data.Taking the education of college students’ ideals and beliefs in the era of big data as the research object for analysis,using multidisciplinary methods such as literature review and questionnaire survey,we can explore the existing problems in the education of college students’ ideals and beliefs in the era of big data and choose effective solutions to the problems.Firstly,by analyzing the concept,content,and characteristics of ideal and belief education for college students in the big data era to explain its connotation,this paper traces the theoretical basis and practical opportunities of ideal and belief education for college students in the big data era,revealing that ideal and belief education for college students in the big data era is not only an inevitable requirement to comply with the development trend of the big data era,but also an inherent demand to promote the personalized development of college students,It is also a powerful guarantee for addressing various risk challenges.Secondly,based on reviewing a large number of relevant research results at home and abroad,this paper analyzes the development and research trends of college students’ ideals and beliefs from the perspectives of students and educators,and summarizes the characteristics of college students’ ideals and beliefs education and the current situation of college students’ ideals and beliefs education in the era of big data.The findings indicate that the importance of applying big data to college students’ ideal and belief education has gradually increased and the practice continues to develop.The problems include inadequate transformation of the concept of big data in education,inadequate optimization of the content and structure of ideal and belief education,insufficient innovation vitality of data-based education methods,and conflicts between college students’ ideal and belief cognition and behavior.The main problems are the imperfect ideal and belief education system for college students,interference from bad social practices Due to the alienation of Western data technology and the lack of self-control among college students.Finally,based on the problems existing in the education of college students’ ideals and beliefs in the era of big data,corresponding solutions are proposed.Increase attention to the era of big data,strengthen the completeness of data to ensure students’ needs,adhere to the concept of combining big data with scientific management,and clarify the requirements for ideal and belief education for college students in the data era.Utilize data technology to highlight the leading role of the latest theoretical achievements,give play to the conservation function of excellent traditional Chinese culture,and explore educational content that meets the actual needs of college students to improve the supply of ideal and belief education for college students in the era of big data.Improve the education big data platform,open up educational cooperation channels,and integrate multi-dimensional education resources to transform the way college students’ ideals and beliefs are taught in the big data era.Strengthen the construction of digital culture,strengthen the construction of the rule of law for network data,and expand the thinking of network data supervision to optimize the ideal and belief education environment for college students in the era of big data.Improve the level of political theory,standardize network values,and enhance the sense of social responsibility to strictly adhere to the defense line of college students adhering to their ideals and beliefs in the era of big data.
