Research On Strengthening The Party’s Political Construction From The Perspective Of National Governance Modernization

The report of the 20 th National Congress of the Communist Party of China pointed out: "The Party’s political construction should lead the Party’s construction work in all aspects and insist on promoting ideological and institutional governance in the same direction." The Party’s political construction is not only the fundamental principle of comprehensively promoting the modernization of the national governance system and capacity,but also an important driving force for achieving modernization of national governance.The report once again emphasized that the Party’s construction should be led by the Party’s political construction and give full play to its important role.This is the unique political function of the Communist Party of China in comprehensively leading and promoting the modernization of national governance in the new era.It is also a response to the multiple pressures and challenges emerging from the practice of modernizing national governance,aiming to create a favorable governance environment,promote the further improvement of the socialist system with Chinese characteristics,and better transform the advantages of the system into the effectiveness of national governance.This article takes the dialectical relationship between the Party’s political construction and the modernization of national governance as the starting point,clarifies the logical connection between the two by understanding their conceptual connotations.The Party’s political construction is a political prerequisite for comprehensively promoting the modernization of national governance,while achieving the modernization of national governance is an inevitable result of strengthening the Party’s political construction.Based on this,the article studies the practical challenges and paths to strengthen the Party’s political construction from the perspective of modernizing national governance.Although the Party’s political construction has played a huge role in promoting the modernization of national governance,there are still issues such as the need to improve the ruling party’s own capabilities,properly handle the relationship between political power and governance,and cope with the impact of globalization on the Party’s political construction.Therefore,the Communist Party of China in the new era must face the opportunities and challenges brought about by the transformation of modern governance concepts,firmly adhere to political beliefs,adhere to discipline in governing the Party,and give full play to the political functions of grassroots organizations.It must explore and construct the road of the Party’s political construction with a broader vision and multiple perspectives,leading the successful realization of the modernization of national governance.
