A Study Of The Construction Of The Communist Party Of China’s Political Culture Since The 18th National Congress

As an important mark,political party culture is an important feature that distinguishes a political party from other political parties.The construction of political party culture is an important part of the party’s construction,which is related to a party’s energy to fight,ability to attract,power to unite,and to the development of the party’s cause in terms of keeping the righteousness and innovation.As the ruling party in a leading position in all the work of the state,whether the Communist Party of China has an advanced party culture or not,and how effective the construction of party culture is,is not only related to the development of the party itself,but also directly affects the construction of national culture as a whole.Since the 18 th National Congress,the Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping at the core,has continued to highlight the importance of cultural construction in national construction,while attaching great significance to the Party’s cultural construction.General Secretary Xi Jinping has repeatedly emphasized the driving force of cultural soft power on the economy and politics,as well as its increasingly important position in international competition.Against the above background,an in-depth study of the cultural construction of the Chinese Communist Party is both an urgent need for the Party’s own construction and a practical need for the country’s cultural construction.It has important theoretical value and practical significance for improving the Party’s governing ability,safeguarding the implementation of the strategy of building national strength in culture,and enhancing the cultural confidence of the Chinese Communist Party and socialist cultural confidence with Chinese characteristics.Based on this,with the comprehensive use of literature analysis,comparative research,logical induction,interdisciplinarity and other research methods,this thesis starts from the relevant concepts,theoretical foundations and ideological sources,historical evolution and practical logic of the construction of political party culture of the CPC,focuses on the specific practice of the CPC in building political party culture around the goals of party building since the 18 th National Congress,summarizes the lineage of inheritance and innovation in the construction of political party culture of the CPC since the 18 th National Congress,responds to the risks and challenges faced by the political party culture of the CPC since the 18 th National Congress,and summarizes the experience and enlightenment that can be used as a reference for the construction of political parties in our party and other countries.Specifically,the thesis is structured in eight chapters.Chapter 1 introduces the background and significance of this thesis,the current state of academic research at home and abroad,and the research ideas,methods,difficulties and innovations of the thesis,so as to establish the starting point for the comprehensive development of this study.Chapter 2 introduces the concepts and theoretical foundations related to the cultural construction of political parties in the Communist Party of China.This chapter is a fundamental study,a theoretical starting point for this research,and provides the foundation for the subsequent chapters.It begins with a synthesis of the studies of scholars at home and abroad,defining the concepts and connotations of political party culture,the political party culture of the CPC and the construction of the political party culture of the CPC,and on this basis analyzing the relationship among the objectives of Party Building,the political party culture of the CPC and the construction of the political party culture of the CPC,and then discussing the theoretical basis and ideological sources of the construction of the political party culture of the CPC.Chapter 3 introduces the historical and practical logic of the construction of political party culture of the CPC since the 18 th National Congress,briefly examines it in three stages of the new-democratic revolution,the socialist revolution and construction,and the reform and opening-up and socialist modernization drive,and analyses the internal and external factors of the construction of political party culture of the CPC since the 18 th National Congress.Chapters 4 to 7 discuss the specific practices of building the party culture of the CPC since the 18 th National Congress,focusing on the objectives of party building since the 18 th National Congress,i.e.always being at the forefront of the times,enjoying the wholehearted support of the people,having the courage to reform itself,being able to withstand all tests and always showing vitality,and explore how the building of the party culture of the CPC has reflected and then contributed to the achievement of the party building objectives.Chapter 8 discusses the inheritance and innovation as well as the experience and revelations of the construction of the political party culture of the CPC since the 18 th National Congress.In short,this thesis conducts research from the perspective of combining theory and practice,history and reality,and seeks to present the following academic perspectives.The construction of political party culture of the CPC and the political party culture of the CPC are two concepts that are complementary,dialectical and closely related,with the party culture of the CPC focusing on the theoretical and conceptual level and the construction of the political party culture of the CPC focusing on the practical and operational level.The latter is the concrete practice to achieve the goals of political parties under the guidance and direction of the CPC party culture,which is constantly enriched and innovated with the development of practice.The goals of the Party Building since the 18 th National Congress are important reflections of the political party culture of the CPC.The construction of the political party culture of the CPC reflects,serves and facilitates the realization of the goals.Since the 18 th National Congress,the construction of the political party culture of the CPC has been influenced by many factors.From the perspective of internal factors,the CPC’s attributes as a Marxist party,its nature as a proletarian party and its status as the ruling party have determined the direction and content of the CPC’s party culture.From the perspective of external factors,the entry of socialism with Chinese characteristics into a new era is the grand background of the construction of the political party culture of the CPC since the 18 th National Congress.Since the 18 th National Congress,there have been many inheritances and innovations in the building of the CPC’s party culture in terms of guiding ideology and ideals,awareness of purposes,institutional norms and behavioral styles,and the image of the party.The following valuable experiences have emerged from the construction of the CPC party culture since the 18 th National Congress: upholding and strengthening Party leadership;continuously committing to people-centered construction;advancing theoretical approaches to thrive the Party;exercising full and strict governance over the Party,improving the execution ability;and keeping on striving with endless energy.Important insights from the construction of the political party culture of the CPC since the 18 th National Congress include: following an independence path,inheriting the tradition of revolution and enhancing the confidence in the culture of socialism with Chinese characteristics,and improving international discourse power and strengthening the penetration of the powerful ruling image of the CPC.
