Since the reform and opening up,with the continuous promotion of China’s new urbanization construction and the continuous acceleration of urban-rural integration, the speed of population mobility has also increased.Rural urban mobility and urban urban mobility have become common social phenomena. As an important component of the national population, creating a favorable policy environment for mobile population is crucial for scientifically and reasonably grasping the goals and requirements of social construction. It is worth noting that the vast number of floating population, while providing labor for major cities and bringing large-scale economic benefits,is generally facing practical problems such as "unable to stay in their hometown and integrate into the city" due to various factors. This means that the social integration and long-term residence of the floating population in the city are urgent concerns. At the same time, studying the long-term residence willingness of the floating population group can also assist relevant urban managers in opening up new ideas, methods, and references for urban governance. In addition, the large-scale floating population living in cities has become an inevitable trend of the times. If the floating population can smoothly integrate into the city and achieve the corresponding path of citizenship,it is of crucial significance for China to promote the construction of a socialist harmonious society. Therefore, this study is based on the dynamic monitoring data of the national floating population, and takes the floating population group in the Pearl River Delta region as the research object. At the same time,a mathematical model of the impact of social integration on the long-term residence intention of the floating population is constructed. The model is empirically tested using binary logistic regression to study the impact and degree of social integration of the floating population on their long-term residence intention in cities. The heterogeneity of the model is also analyzed endogeneity and robustness test. The research results indicate that:(1)there is a significant correlation between social integration and the long-term residency willingness of the floating population, that is,with the change of social integration, the long-term residency willingness of the floating population will also change accordingly;(2)Among the individual characteristics of the floating population, males have a higher long-term residence intention than females, married floating population has a higher long-term residence intention than unmarried population, and floating population with non agricultural household registration has a higher long-term residence intention than those with agricultural household registration;(3)In the characteristics of mobility, the education level of the floating population will have a significant positive impact on their long-term residence intention;(4)In terms of employment characteristics, the higher the technical level of migrant workers in the employment industry, the higher their willingness to stay for a long time;(5)Social integration shows significant differences in the long-term residence willingness of mobile populations under different group characteristics.Based on this, this study believes that enhancing the social integration and residence willingness of the floating population in the Pearl River Delta can be gradually implemented by eliminating the "employment barrier" of the floating population, enhancing their social integration, improving their human capital status, effectively safeguarding their legitimate rights and interests, improving their social integration status, and customizing targeted measures to enhance urban attractiveness. |
