Patriotism is formed from the accumulation of China’s fine traditional culture,revolutionary spirit and Marxist theory.During the long historical development of the Chinese nation,patriotism has been deeply reflected in the hearts of every Chinese people,regulating and influencing people’s ideals and beliefs,value orientation,ideological state,moral conduct and code of conduct.This paper takes Marxism and communication as the theoretical basis and People’s Daily as an example to trace the source of patriotism spread by mainstream media since 2012,and sort out and summarize the transmission process,main content,main opportunities,main challenges and experience enlightenment of patriotism spread by mainstream media in the new era.The research shows that the course of the mainstream media disseminating patriotism in the new era can be divided into:the dissemination of patriotism from the 18th CPC National Congress to the 19th CPC National Congress,the dissemination of patriotism before the 20th CPC National Congress and the dissemination of patriotism since the 20th CPC National Congress.The main contents of the dissemination of patriotism by the mainstream media in the new era include:the important discussion of the dissemination of patriotic education by the Marxist classical writers and the leaders of the Communist Party of China,the spiritual endowment of the excellent Chinese traditional culture and the red culture,and the eight aspects of the Implementation Outline of Patriotic Education in the New Era.The main opportunities for mainstream media to spread patriotism in the new era include:major achievements in the development of socialism with Chinese characteristics in the decade of the new era,increasing patriotic consciousness and feelings among young people,increasingly mature communication theory and practice,historic changes in communication mode,and increasing leading power of mainstream media in international communication.The main challenges for mainstream media to spread patriotism in the new era include:the ideological field is still facing multiple risks and challenges,the communication field is becoming more complex and changeable,some young people’s rational patriotic consciousness exists misunderstandings,the international communication efficiency can be improved,and the traditional media and modern media still need to be deeply integrated.In this regard,taking People’s Daily as an example,the mainstream media strengthens patriotic education from the ideological,political,goal,strategy and publicity aspects,and concludes that it is necessary to continuously enhance political identity and effectively help new youth to improve the "three political forces".Strengthen the construction of communication capacity,deeply demonstrate the great power of Marxist truth;To stimulate the endogenous motivation of young people and effectively improve the core quality of Chinese youth;Constantly strengthen the supervision responsibilities,create a clear air and positive network ecological environment;It is expected to provide some suggestions for the mainstream media to spread patriotism education in the new era. |
