To maintain its hegemony, the United States was aggressively sponsoring the strategy of NATO’s Eastward Expansion and got the “Color Revolution” into full swing around Russia. The United States not only continues to stimulate Russia’s“security nerves”,but also controls European affairs by producing “controllable turbulence”.The Biden Administration is even tougher on Russia by promising to support Ukraine’s accession to NATO and increasing military assistance to the Ukrainian government. As the most watched war in 2022,the Russia-Ukraine conflict has led to a broad U.S.-led alliance directed by the United States on the international stage which is willing to pay great economic prices and take risks to stand firmly against Russia’s actions.America continues to incite this crisis despite the spread of domestic epidemics, high inflation, high debt, low approval rating, etc. It is worth considering what role America has played in this conflict. The thesis argues that the American government mainly plays the role of initiator, spoiler and beneficiary in the 2022 Russia-Ukraine conflict, which bears out that the conflict in Ukraine is a U.S.proxy war.Based on domestic and foreign periodicals,reports,current-affair reviews,White House briefings, and think tank research related to this crisis, this thesis explores the role of the Biden Administration in the 2022 Russia-Ukraine conflict from three aspects.Firstly, the United States stirs up trouble with the sovereignty issue of Ukraine and provokes the offensive threat from Russia to promote the war.Secondly, the Biden Administration not only distorts facts but also fans flames that have strained Russia-Ukraine relations after the outbreak of the Russia-Ukraine conflict.Thirdly,America is the biggest winner of this conflict in terms of economy, politic and security.
