The Predicament And Countermeasures Of Household Survey In Basic Bureau Of Statistics

As one of the important survey projects conducted by the NBS,the household survey is crucial to the formulation of national policies and closely related to the well-being,health,as well as social stability of the people.It provides powerful data support for China’s policies to improve people’s livelihoods and eradicate poverty,and is therefore one of the key objects of attention for the government at all levels and the society.However,as society continues to develop and big data becomes more prevalent,the application of big data is challenging traditional methods and systems,including those used in the household survey.Currently,the household survey faces several issues,such as a shortage of grassroots staff,inconsistent results with data from other government departments,low social recognition,and poor accounting quality.As a result,the final data may be subject to distortion to varying degrees,and it has bring a negative impact on the credibility of the government.To address these issues,the paper adopts the idea of "analyzing the status quo,exploring the problems,parsing the reasons,and proposing countermeasures." It delves deeply into the study of household surveys,thoroughly analyzing the causes of the identified problems,and suggesting corresponding optimization measures.The aim is to improve the data quality of household surveys and enhance the credibility of government statistical surveys.This paper approaches the study of the household survey from the perspective of the statistical bureaus at the city and county levels in Z city.Using modern governance theory and digital governance theory,it conducts literature research,case studies,comparative analysis and interview research methodologies,to examine the five major challenges that exist in the current household survey.The paper conducts a root cause analysis and proposes corresponding solutions.It also aims to promote the introduction of government big data to enhance the authenticity and accuracy of household survey data.
