Research On Fostering The Sense Of Community For The Chinesenation Among The College Students In Southern Xinjiang

The community for the Chinese Nation is a community of economy,politics,culture and destiny gradually formed in the process of communication,conflicts and integration of the various ethnic groups in the long historical evolution,and diversity in unity is its basic characteristic.Fostering a strong sense of community for the Chinese nation is the General Secretary Xi Jinping’s innovative development of the Chinese ethnic theory in the new era.As a kind of social sense,it is essentially the subjective reflection of objective existence,while the dynamic role of the sense promotes the development and progress of the society.Therefore,it is of profound theoretical and practical significance to foster and strengthen the sense of community for the Chinese nation.As the main position of the Party’s policy and theory propaganda and the big talent training base,colleges and universities undertake the important mission of cultivating morality,casting souls and educating people,and cultivating qualified builders and successors of the cause of socialism with Chinese characteristics in the new era.Faced with the question of the era "To construct a powerful nation,what should education do?",it is a must for the educators in Southern Xinjiang to foster a strong sense of community for the Chinese nation among college students.A strong youth makes a strong country,and to foster a strong sense of community for the Chinese nation among the college students in Southern Xinjiang is the only route we must take to seek for long-term stability,prosperity and development.In this study,we took the college students in Southern Xinjiang as the study object,made an empirical analysis by developing a scale questionnaire based on reading of a lot of literature to understand the current status of and insufficiencies in fostering the sense of community for the Chinese nation among the college students in Southern Xinjiang,and provided some ideas for the path selection through in-depth cause analysis.In this paper,the author expounds the research background,purpose and significance,makes reference to the domestic and foreign relevant research achievements,and puts forward the key and difficult points of this paper in light of the insufficiencies of the current research.Then,based on the definition of the core concepts and the overview of the theoretical basis,by analyzing,in the vertical time dimension,the evolution process from nation,Chinese nation,the community for the Chinese nation to the sense of community for the Chinese nation,the author elucidates its connotation and implication.The fostering of the sense of community for the Chinese nation among the college students in Southern Xinjiang covers many contents,including the "five identities" and the five views of Marxism.The ethnic theory of classical Marxist writers and the Sinicized Marxist ethnic theory constitute the main theoretical basis of this paper.In this research,by using questionnaire survey,a demographic variables-based analysis was made on the differences in gender,ethnicity,grade,political outlook and other attributes with respect to the sense of community for the Chinese nation among the college students in Southern Xinjiang.The survey results showed that there were significant differences in gender,grade,political outlook,major,accommodation conditions,etc.with respect to the sense of community for the Chinese nation among the college students in Southern Xinjiang,but there were no significant differences in ethnic and regional attributes.Different education types could have a certain impact on the sense of community for the Chinese nation among the college students in Southern Xinjiang.Finally,based on the results of the survey and analysis,the achievements and insufficiencies of the fostering of the sense of community for the Chinese nation among the college students in Southern Xinjiang were summarized,the causes for such insufficiencies were analyzed,and based on this,the ideas for the follow-up countermeasures were provided.In conclusion,the fostering of the sense of community for the Chinese nation among the college students in Southern Xinjiang needs to be based on school,social and family education,and only by building a sound college education system,giving play to the role of social publicity and guidance,and creating a good family cultural atmosphere to promote the fostering of the sense of community for the Chinese nation,and stimulate the self-education potential of the sense of community for the Chinese nation of the college students can the college students in Southern Xinjiang really improve their cognitive level of the sense of community for the Chinese nation and promote the externalization of the sense of community into practical behavior.
