Ideological work plays an extremely important role in the work of the CPC.Since the18 th National Congress of the CPC,the overall situation in the field of ideology has undergone fundamental changes.The guiding position of Marxism in the field of ideology has been strengthened,the Party’s innovative theory for the new era has gained popular support,core socialist values have been widely disseminated,and the Internet ecosystem continues to improve.However,it must be noted that the continuous development of omnimedia has led to the emergence of whole-process media,holographic media,whole-staff media and whole-effect media,and profound changes have taken place in the ecology of public opinion,media pattern and communication mode.In order for the mainstream ideology to spread the Party’s voice more widely and deeply in the era of omnimedia,it must change with the situation and continue to innovate its forms of expression.Narrative,or telling stories,as an ancient way of information transmission,has played an important role in ideological education throughout the ages.In the era of omnimedia,the combination of mainstream ideology and narrative form is not only the inevitable requirement of the innovation of the expression form of mainstream ideology,but also the path choice in line with the change of media technology and the information consumption habits of netizens.This study takes the omnimedia era as the background,aims at the integration of mainstream ideology and narrative,and strives to find a way to innovate the expression of mainstream ideology and improve the communication power of mainstream ideology.The first part of this paper defines the omnimedia era and mainstream ideological narrative respectively,and defines the characteristics and running path of the mainstream ideological narrative in the omnimedia era.The second part elaborates the theoretical basis of the mainstream ideological narrative in the omnimedia era,as well as the experience of traditional Chinese moral narrative,the experience of western moral education narrative and ideological narrative,and the process and experience of the Communist Party of China’s ideological narrative.The third part puts forward the challenges facing the mainstream ideological narrative in the age of omnimedia and analyzes the reasons.The challenges lie in: insufficient influence of mainstream ideology in narrative,insufficient dominance of narrative subject,weakening of narrative content integrity,and false and ineffective effect of narrative acceptance.The reasons lie in the penetration of western capitalist ideology narrative,the diversification of network subjects to weaken the dominant role of narrative subjects,the marketization of information consumption to weaken the integrity of narrative content,and the media literacy of narrative subject and object to be deepened.The forth part puts forward the path to optimize the mainstream ideological narrative in the omnimedia era from the perspectives of narrative principle,narrative subject team,narrative content supply,narrative communication ability and narrative environment.
