Under the background of rural revitalization, the sustainable development of agriculture must be promoted in order to realize the modernization of agriculture and countryside and increase farmers’ income. On the one hand, due to the continuous progress of urbanization and industrialization, the gap between urban and rural areas is relatively obvious.More and more rural labor force choose to work in cities, and the number of agricultural labor force decreases. On the other hand, the population aging trend is also becoming more obvious. Therefore,it is an important way to promote sustainable development of agricultural production to promote land circulation and achieve moderate scale management. At present, there are many problems in the process of land transfer, among which female non-agricultural employment is the important factor affecting household land transfer. Therefore,it is of great significance to study how female non-agricultural employment affects farmers’ land transfer behavior.Based on the survey data of "a hundred villages and a thousand households" in Jiangxi Province, this paper adopts the binary logit model to explore the impact of rural female non-farm employment on land transfer, and adopts the variance inflation factor method to conduct multicollinearity test,so as to further explore the regulating effect of female non-farm employment on farmers’ land transfer behavior.Robustness test was conducted by replacing key explanatory variables and models. The empirical results show that:(1)Female non-agricultural employment has a significant positive impact on farmers’ land transfer behavior;(2)Average family age, cadre status, terrain and land ownership had a significant positive impact on farmers’ land transfer behavior, while mechanization level had a negative impact on farmers’ land transfer behavior.(3)The cadre status of family members has a moderating effect on the influence of female non-agricultural employment on farmers’ land transfer behavior.Based on the above research, this paper puts forward the following suggestions:(1)to carry out employment training for rural women and enhance their employment skills.(2)Expand employment channels and increase non-agricultural employment opportunities for rural women.(3)Actively publicize land transfer policies and strengthen land transfer services.(4)Improve the land transfer market mechanism to protect the legitimate rights and interests of farmers.
