A wide variety of ethnic groups and multi-ethnic mixed living is an important feature of our country.In the long course of historical development,all ethnic groups continue to communicate and blend,forming a ’ You have me,I have you,inseparable from each other ’ ethnic community.General Secretary Xi Jinping has been stressed on many occasions that building a strong sense of community for the Chinese nation is the "main line" and "steel" of ethnic work in the new era,and all work should focus on this.Of which,We will develop demonstration zones for ethnic unity and progress is an important carrier and main means to Build a strong sense of community among the Chinese nation.In the new era,the construction of ethnic unity and progress demonstration area also assumes a new historical missionYunnan is on the border,is the province with the largest minority population,the largest number of unique ethnic groups,the largest number of cross-border ethnic groups,the largest number of ethnic groups with small population,and the largest number of ’ direct ethnic groups ’.Yunnan ethnic groups live in harmony,unity and fraternity,and always maintain a harmonious ethnic relations.According to the provincial situation and location characteristics of ’ frontier,ethnic,mountainous and beautiful ’ in Yunnan,the Party Central Committee requires Yunnan to endeavor to build a demonstration plot of ethnic solidarity and advance.It is of great meaning to the prosperity and stability of the border areas,the unity and harmony of the ethnic groups,and the ideological consciousness of the ethnic groups.This article uses data studies,Field study method,Interview and other methods to combine theory with practice,sort out Marxist ethnic theory,select Weishan County of Dali Prefecture as the research object,and analyze the advantages of building a demonstration county of ethnic unity and progress in this area,such as profound history and culture,long foundation of ethnic blending,and harmonious ethnic relations.Based on reality and seizing its own advantages,Weishan County,under the strong leadership of the Party,by means of the ’ ethnic unity and progress+ X ’ model,established advanced models of ethnic unity and progress,implemented the ’ Belt and Road,Two Museums,Two Alliances,Three Districts and Three Demonstrations ’ plan,vigorously inherited ethnic culture,and promoted the ’group spirit ’ and other characteristic measures.It has achieved certain results in party building guidance,industrial development,improving people ’s livelihood,cultural inheritance,creating activities,and building harmonious ethnic relations.It also provides some reference and reference for other regions to create ethnic unity and progress demonstration units.However,through consulting relevant materials and field research visits,it is found that Weishan County is also facing difficulties and challenges in the construction of ethnic unity and progress demonstration counties,such as inadequate ideological understanding,insufficient county economic development,weak leading role of old typical demonstrations,insufficient cultivation of new typical and new highlights,and lack of resources for creation.This paper summarizes the characteristic measures and successful experiences of Weishan County in building a demonstration county of ethnic unity and progress.Simultaneously,according to its shortcomings,which enlightens us that we should strengthen political security,lay a solid economic foundation,consolidate social foundation,build a common spiritual home and build legal barriers to deepen the construction of Yunnan demonstration area,so as to realize the high-quality development of Yunnan,build a copper wall and iron wall of ethnic unity and frontier prosperity,and gather the great power of realizing the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.
