Hong Fan’s eight policies,food for government.Food security is a major fundamental issue in the construction of national economic,political,social and ecological civilization.The Party and the government have always placed safeguarding national food security in an important strategic position.In recent years,China’s grain has maintained a high self-sufficiency rate,which not only provides a strong support for national food security,but also makes a significant contribution to world food security.However,with the accelerated process of economic globalization and world trade liberalization,and the continuous progress of industrialization and urbanization in China,the situation of food supply and demand at home and abroad is undergoing profound changes: the rigid growth of food demand,the number of cultivated land is decreasing year by year,the supply of water resources is becoming increasingly scarce,and the comparative income of grain planting is low;The uncertainty of the international environment will affect the food supply,the global food price rise will enter the era of high food prices,and the hidden food crisis will continue to be intensified.Since the 18 th National Congress of Since the Communist Party of China(CPC of the Party,Party and state leaders have been deeply aware of a number of issues.behind the continuous harvest of food,and it is urgent to build an efficient and perfect food security system.In the process of ensuring food security,the CPC has created many unique and effective policies and measures,accumulated a series of basic experience,and provided China’s solutions to food problems for countries around the world.Studying the CPC’s thought on food security since the 18 th National Congress of the Communist Party of China has important practical value for strengthening the CPC’s ability to ensure food security,solving major food security problems,and promoting substantial progress in common prosperity.This article discusses the following four aspects: Firstly,focuses on the analysis and elaboration of the connotation of food security and the measurement indicators of food security by combing the literature,explores the theoretical basis and practical basis of the CPC’s food security since the 18 th National Congress,and discusses the relationship between food security and national security.Secondly,focuses on analyzing the domestic resource environment,food supply and demand,as well as the international market environment,which have undergone significant historical changes.Under the new situation,China’s food security is also facing many new challenges.Currently,China’s food security is mainly facing domestic and international challenges.Once more,discusses the national food security strategy,institutional arrangements and targeted measures established by the CPC since the18 th National Congress of the Communist Party of China,based on the new development stage,standing at a new historical starting point,based on China’s national conditions,world conditions,agricultural conditions and food conditions,in order to build a solid national food security defense line.Finally,summarizes the major achievements and successful experience of the CPC in food security since the18 th National Congress.China has achieved remarkable achievements in food security,which is not only a great achievement made by the Chinese people in their own development,but also a significant contribution to world food security.Only by summing up the successful experience of the CPC in ensuring national food security in the new era,and always adhering to the overall leadership of the Party,and adhering to the people as the center,can we find a way to food security with Chinese characteristics.
