| As an important political act of the CPC linking history and reality,commemorative activities play an important role in a number of ways.Not only are they an effective way and a special channel for disseminating important messages such as the Party and State’s line,guidelines and policies,they are also an important resource and an effective method for interpreting Marxist theory and realising the Chinese dream of a great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.It can be said that commemorative activities are not only a political act,but also an important part of the CPC’s governance of the country.In particular,since the reform and opening up of China,the Party and the State have attached great importance to commemorative activities of the Communist Party of China,and have scientifically co-ordinated and planned them,carefully designed and deployed them,and made use of various channels to organise various forms of commemorative activities at the right time.These commemorative activities aim to carry forward the glorious traditions and fine style of the Party and promote the realisation of the Chinese dream of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.Through the commemorative activities,the Party’s image was further shaped,the forces of all parties were coordinated and integrated,the Chineseisation,modernisation and popularisation of Marxism were significantly promoted,and a political commemorative culture with Chinese characteristics was gradually built up.This thesis selects the commemorative activities of the Chinese Communist Party in the period since the reform and opening up of China as the object of study,and explores the historical role and contemporary inspiration played by the commemorative activities of the Chinese Communist Party in this period,in order to provide insights for the continued prosperity of the commemorative activities of the Chinese Communist Party in the future.Specifically,it consists of five parts: the first part compares and summarises the current research findings and status of the commemorative activities of the Chinese Communist Party in the academic field,and,on this basis,identifies the aims and significance of the research,the research methods and innovations adopted,and the shortcomings of the current academic research.The second part focuses on the overall study of Chinese Communist Party commemorative activities since the reform and opening up,starting from the basic concept of commemorative activities,clarifying the historical development of Chinese Communist Party commemorative activities before the reform and opening up,and summarising the characteristics of commemorative activities since the reform and opening up from the perspective of historical comparison.In the third part,the content and forms of commemorative activities of the CPC since the reform and opening up are sorted out.The content mainly covers the commemoration of important historical figures,major historical events and festivals(anniversaries),while the forms of commemoration mainly include commemoration of conferences,textual commemoration,artistic commemoration,symbolic commemoration and online commemoration of different types and themes of commemoration activities.In the fourth section,the value of commemorative activities is explained in two parts: the historical role and contemporary inspiration of the commemorative activities of the Chinese Communist Party since the reform and opening up.In the fifth part,the Party and the state attach more and more importance to Chinese Communist Party commemorative activities as the times change,but still face many problems and challenges,for which there is a need to have an optimal way for the prosperous development of Chinese Communist Party commemorative activities in the new era and to conduct continuous and in-depth exploration. |
