Adhering to problem-orientation is to emphasize having a keen sense of problems,being good at discovering problems,comprehensively understanding and analyzing problems on this basis,and finally arriving at solutions to problems under the guidance of scientific theories.Adhering to the problem-oriented ideological method is a distinctive feature of Marxism,and this characteristic runs through the entire process of Marxist development.As the core of the first generation of the leadership of the Communist Party of China and also an early Marxist in China,Comrade Mao Zedong’s thinking and theory reflected a distinct characteristic of adhering to the problem orientation.Mao Zedong continuously absorbed the idea of adhering to the problem-oriented in his long-term theoretical study,and insisted on personal practice,so that Mao Zedong’s ideological method of adhering to the problem-oriented gradually developed and matured."Selected Works of Mao Zedong" is a collection of Mao Zedong’s main important articles,letters and speeches during the period of the new democratic revolution,socialist revolution and socialist construction,which carries the essence of Mao Zedong Thought and greatly reflects the development context of Mao Zedong’s adherence to problem-oriented thinking and methods.In addition,Mao Zedong’s application of the problem-oriented ideological method in revolutionary practice has further demonstrated the internal logic,principles and specific methods of adhering to the problem-oriented thinking.Studying the ideological method of adhering to problem-oriented guidance in the "Selected Works of Mao Zedong" will help to further understand the deep logic of Mao Zedong Thought,and can also provide ideas for the development of Marxism today,and can also provide scientific methodology and practical guidance for our party in the face of the current complex situation at home and abroad.This paper consists of an introduction and five parts,mainly from the theoretical origin,internal logic,basic principles,main methods and echoes of the times of Mao Zedong’s adherence to problem-oriented thinking methods.The first part mainly sorts out the theoretical sources of Mao Zedong’s adherence to problemoriented thinking methods.Mao Zedong’s problem-oriented approach was influenced by many theories,the most important of which was the Marxist ideology on persisting in problemorientation.In addition,Mao Zedong also absorbed a lot of problem-oriented ideas in ancient Chinese traditional thought,and was also influenced by Western philosophy and pedagogy on adhering to problem-oriented ideas.Various theoretical sources jointly contributed to the formation of Mao Zedong’s problem-oriented ideological method.The second part analyzes the relevant literature on adhering to the problem-oriented ideological method in the "Mao Zedong Anthology",starting from the logical steps of Mao Zedong’s adherence to the problem-oriented ideological method,and sorts out the internal logic and interconnection between the three stages of Mao Zedong’s problem-oriented ideological method: proposing,analyzing and solving problems.The third part combines the basic theory of Marxism,combined with the text content of the "Selected Works of Mao Zedong" and the relevant theories of Mao Zedong Thought,scientifically analyzes the basic principles of Mao Zedong’s adherence to the problem-oriented ideological method,and uses the relevant text content to provide theoretical support.The fourth part summarizes the practical application of Mao Zedong’s problem-oriented thinking method in the "Selected Works of Mao Zedong",combines the theories on correct treatment,analysis and solution of problems in the two key theoretical works of "Theory of Contradiction" and "Theory of Practice",summarizes its main ideological methods,and explains his scientific methodology.The fifth part analyzes and discusses the echoes of the times when Mao Zedong adhered to the problem-oriented ideological method in light of reality.In the complex and changeable domestic and international situations of the current era,Mao Zedong adhered to the problemoriented ideological method and provided us with theoretical guidance,methodology and practical significance.
