Research On The Protection Mechanism And Effectiveness Of Live Broadcast Platforms For Minors

With the development of Internet technology and the popularity of electronic devices,underage groups in learning,entertainment,life and other scenes of media contact more and more,live platform has also become one of its leisure and entertainment tools.But the platform of vulgar information,online violence,luring gambling,fraud and other phenomena are repeatedly prohibited,constantly infringing on the physical and mental health of underage users.In this regard,the state regulatory bodies have issued relevant policies,special operations,the platform also actively implement,and constantly improve the protection mechanism of live platform minors.Although the construction of the protection mechanism of live broadcast platform for minors can control the media exposure of underage users at the source,the continued existence of various undesirable phenomena in the platform indicates that there are still imperfections in the protection mechanism of live broadcast platform for minors at this stage.Therefore,the effectiveness of the protection mechanism of live streaming platform for minors as a research topic can effectively identify its remaining problems,which is important to ensure the safety of minors online.This study takes the protection of minors as the research object,selects the Douyu platform as the research case,and conducts a preliminary analysis of the status of the protection mechanism of minors on the Douyu live streaming platform through a combination of questionnaires and in-depth interviews,and examines the effect status of the protection mechanism of minors on the Douyu live streaming platform in six dimensions: information protection,technical protection,content protection,anti-addiction management,consumption management,and feedback channels.On this basis,using SPSS data statistical tools,age,gender,education level,minors’ awareness,technological innovation,and family binding were selected as independent variables from four dimensions: minors’ demographic factors,minors’ cognitive factors,platform factors,and family factors,and the effects of minors’ protection mechanisms on live streaming platforms were examined in terms of information protection,technological protection,content protection,anti-addiction management,consumption management,and feedback channels.The six dimensions of information protection,technology protection,content protection,anti-addiction management,consumption management,and feedback channels are taken as the dependent variables,and the degree of influence among the variables is investigated by correlation analysis and regression analysis.It was found that age,gender,education level,minors’ awareness,technical innovation,and family binding had significant effects on the effectiveness of the protection mechanism of Douyu live streaming platform for minors.Finally,the author combines participant observation and interview results to analyze and summarize the existing problems of the protection mechanism of the current Douyu live streaming platform for minors,and proposes targeted countermeasures for the remaining problems on this basis,in order to explore the optimization path of the protection mechanism of the live streaming platform for minors,and to realize the protection and healthy guidance for the interests of the underage group.
