The Status Analysis Of The Online Nationalism In China And The Guidance Recommendation

As a social trend with a long history and theoretical connotation,nationalism has spread until now,and has shown different expression characteristics with the development of the times.In the Internet era,nationalism has a new space for expression through the Internet platform,giving rise to cyber nationalism.Internet nationalism is a special kind of social ideology with its unique content,which manifests itself in the expression of national consciousness and national emotion through the Internet.According to People’s Tribune’s research on social trends,nationalism has been at a high position among the ten most influential social trends in China in recent years.As a social trend with great influence,to a certain extent,online nationalism has positive significance in enhancing national cohesion and resisting foreign pressure,but when online nationalism develops in an extreme direction,it will have many negative effects.Therefore,it is of great practical significance to analyze the current situation of online nationalism in China and to guide it reasonably.The research idea of this paper is to first define the concept of network nationalism,sort out its ideological sources,analyze the reasons for the rise of network nationalism in China,outline the performance characteristics of network nationalism with the background of the times,on this basis,analyze the impact of network nationalism on the development of China,and finally make suggestions for the rational development of network nationalism.The main research part of this paper is to analyze the current situation of online nationalism and its guidance.Under the background of complex international situation,domestic social transformation,and technological empowerment,the current cyber nationalism has entered a new stage of rapid development.As a product of nationalism in the Internet era,Internet nationalism has the core characteristics of traditional nationalism,such as national self-reliance and self-improvement,exclusivity,and rich and passionate emotions,but also presents new characteristics such as fractured proliferation,diversified participating subjects,pan-entertainment expression,populist development tendency,and profit-oriented showmanship because of the combination with the new Internet media.These new performance characteristics have a greater impact on the development of our society.On the one hand,the rational development of online nationalism is conducive to the development of China’s democratic politics,the good functioning of political life,and the formation of support for the country’s diplomatic stance;on the other hand,the irrational proliferation of online nationalism adversely affects the construction of China’s mainstream ideological discourse,the purification of the online public opinion environment,and the choice of diplomatic actions.In response to the problems brought by cyber nationalism,this paper seeks to put forward suggestions to guide its rational development in four dimensions: value consensus,civilizational dialogue,technological empowerment,and institutional guarantee.
