Following Eastern Europe and the Soviet Union’ s successful peaceful evolution.At the beginning of the twenty-first century,the United States initiated a new round of peaceful evolution against the CIS nations under the guise of promoting democracy.In the early 21 st century,a new round of peaceful evolution,or colour revolutions,was launched against the CIS countries on the pretext of “ promoting democracy“.Since the end of 2003,color revolutionshave been taking place in the CIS nations to further constrain Russia’ s strategic space in Asia and Europe,with major consequences for the countries involved and extensive spillover effects.The US is trying to divide the CIS through a process of re-westernisation with the ultimate aim of isolating and restraining Russia.Nowadays,the US has not given up using colour revolutions\to further promote the export of so-called American-style democracy.This article examines the nature of the colour revolutions initiated by Western countries and discusses the implications for Russia’s strategic space and national security.The article then summarises the specific measures taken by Russia to defend itself against the threat of colour revolutions,which are of great relevance to countries under threat and potential targets of colour revolution.The article then summarises the specific measures taken by Russia to defend itself against the threat of colour revolutions.Beginning with the color revolutions in the three CIS nations,this essay delves into the meanings and features of the color revolutions sponsored by the US,as well as the background and reasons of their emergence,in order to uncover its essence.On this basis,it systematically discusses the aims and specific means by which the US is attempting to launch a colour revolution against Russia,and clarifies the necessity and urgency of preventing a colour revolution in Russia.This is followed by a detailed discussion of Russia’s specific countermeasures against the colour revolution :politics,economy,ideology and education,and international cooperation are the four areas of focus.The color revolution began as a consequence of a mix of internal and external influences,so in order to better arrest the seeds of the colour revolution in a timely manner,it is necessary to improve the internal “ immunity“ to prevent and deal with the colour revolution.In order to effectively reduce and defuse the risk of colour revolutions,it is necessary to improve the“ immunity“ to prevent and deal with colour revolutions internally,and to deepen bilateral and multilateral cooperation by building up national values and discourse systems externally.
