A Study On Marx And Engels’ View Of Equality And Its Contemporary Value

Equality is an important issue of concern in recent years,and the pursuit of equality is the goal of human society.In the process of the development of human civilization,equality has shown its indispensable importance at any stage.For thousands of years,people have been constantly fighting in pursuit of equality,resulting in countless bloody wars.In the reflection of theory and the exploration of practice,the exploration of equality has never ended.During the period of rapid development of capitalism,the internal class contradictions were increasingly intensified,and the promotion of the workers ’movement made Marx and Engels have a new understanding of equality.The theoretical basis for the formation of the equality view in Ancient Greece and Rome,the Enlightenment thought in Britain and France and Utopian socialism.Based on the perspective of historical materialism,it is of great theoretical and practical significance to deeply study and explore the equality thought and its important value in Marxist theory.Marx and Engels ’ view of equality not only guided the proletarian revolution and laid the foundation for the development of scientific socialism theory,but also provided theoretical and practical reference value for China and pointed out the direction for the future development of communist society.This paper first discusses the theoretical origin of Marx and Engels ’ concept of equality.Along the time line,it takes Marx and Engels ’ classic works as the text to explore the evolution of equality.On this basis,the scientific connotation and essential characteristics of Marx and Engels’ equality views are summarized,reflecting the progress and science of their equality views compared to previous thinkers.Clarifying this scientific theory is closely related to China ’s reform practice and can provide an important reference for the modernization of socialism with Chinese characteristics in the new era.
