With the further development of political democratization, economic globalization and social informatization,a group of left-wing forces have gradually emerged in Latin America, and many countries have embarked on the path of exploring socialist models.Former President Rafael Correa Delgado put forward the theory of "socialism in the21 st century" according to Ecuador’s national conditions, advocating leading the masses to a better life in which all people enjoy opportunities, freedom and equal rights in harmony with nature. It advocates leading people to a better life in harmony with nature, with opportunities, freedom and equal rights for all.Based on this theory,Correa has put socialism into practice in Ecuador and achieved remarkable results in the political, economic, social and diplomatic fields. As a result,Correa himself was popular and was elected president three times in a row.The theories he put forward and the socialist practices he carried out have had a certain influence on both Ecuador and Latin America as a whole, and have strong research value. This article takes the development of socialism in Ecuador as a background, and adopts the methods of documentary research, case study and historical analysis to conduct an in-depth study on the theory and practice of "21st century socialism" in Ecuador. The text is divided into four parts. The first part is about the emergence of "21st century socialism" in Ecuador. This part mainly analyses and explores the historical background and theoretical origins of "21st century socialism" in Ecuador. The historical background mainly includes the failure of neoliberal reforms, the rise of Indian political power and the rise of left-wing power in Latin America. The emergence of "21st century socialism" in Ecuador is mainly derived from scientific socialism, liberation theology and Bolivarian nationalism.By analysing its historical background and theoretical origins, this part lays the foundation for the subsequent understanding and deeper exploration of this theory. In the second part, the main elements of Ecuadorian "21st century socialism" theory are presented. The main four aspects are political, economic, social and diplomatic.Politically,it aims to change power relations and pursue participatory democracy;economically,it aims to reassert the role of the state and establish a "social and solidarity economy" system;socially,it aims to put people at the centre and pursue social justice and equality;diplomatically,it aims to safeguard national sovereignty and promote Latin American regional integration. In this part, the theory of "21st century socialism" in Ecuador is explained from multiple perspectives to deepen the understanding of it and provide a framework and logic for the practical research in the third part. The third part is the practical exploration of "socialism in the 21 st century" in Ecuador. This part mainly covers the practical activities in the political, economic, social and diplomatic fields.Politically,a "constitutional revolution" was carried out to establish a solid political foundation;economically,an "economic revolution" was carried out to ensure steady economic development;socially,a "moral revolution" and a "social revolution" were carried out.Socially, the "moral revolution" and the "social revolution" are aimed at maintaining social equity and justice;diplomatically, the "sovereignty and Latin American integration revolution" is aimed at defending the dignity and sovereignty of the country. In this part, the practical activities carried out by Correa during his term of office are analysed and summarised, with emphasis on the concrete measures he has taken in various areas. The fourth part is an analysis of Ecuador’s "21st century socialism".This part mainly discusses the achievements and problems of Ecuador’s "21st Century Socialism" theory and its impact on Latin American countries as a whole. Its achievements are mainly the expansion of democratic rights of citizens, economic prosperity, improvement of people’s livelihood and independent and pluralistic diplomacy. The problems are related to the excessive power of the President, the dependence of the economy on oil exports and the injustice that has not yet been solved. Its impact on Latin American countries is that it has enriched the ideological system of "21st century socialism" in Latin America and provided a reference for other countries in Latin America to explore socialism. This section further deepens the understanding of this theory through an analysis of Ecuador’s "21st century socialism".In conclusion, the analysis of Ecuador’s "21st Century Socialism" theory in this article provides us with a clearer understanding of the theory and its exploration process. The implementation of the theory of "21st century socialism" in Ecuador is not only beneficial to the development of Ecuador, but also provides a reference for other countries in Latin America to explore the path of socialist development. However,in the process of putting this theory into practice, there are still some problems that need to be optimized and solved continuously.
