Civil servants are an important force in government departments,and their performance is an important factor in determining the success or failure of the work of government departments,and improving the performance of civil servants is a realistic requirement.Performance improvement is one of the goals of government performance management,and the use of performance information is considered to be an important part of performance improvement.However,in the practice of government performance management in China,there are still some difficulties and challenges,such as the serious problem of "evaluation without use",the obvious phenomenon of "superficial articles",and the failure of performance incentives to play a real utility value.However,there is limited research on the relationship between the use of government performance information and civil servants’ job performance.Therefore,it is still a challenging issue to explore and research in theory and practice on how to use performance information reasonably and effectively to continuously improve civil servants’ performance.Therefore,this study aims to investigate the influence of the type of government performance information use on civil servants’ job performance,and its influence path,in order to improve the effectiveness of performance incentives.Based on the PV-GPG theory,social exchange theory and equity theory,this study proposes to classify the types of government performance information use into supportive use and control use,use psychological capital as a mediating variable,and use organizational equity as a moderating variable to construct a model,in order to investigate in depth the impact of the types of government performance information use on civil servants’ job performance from the perspective of individual civil servants’ psychological perceptions.The purpose of this study is to investigate the mechanism of the inner effect of the type of government performance information use on civil servants’ performance from the perspective of individual civil servants’ psychological perception.This study collected data by means of questionnaires,used SPSS software to analyze the recovered questionnaire data,and tested the hypotheses proposed in this study.The findings revealed that(1)different types of government performance information use had different effects on civil servants’ job performance.Among them,supportive use positively affects civil servants’ job performance and controlled use negatively affects civil servants’ job performance between;(2)psychological capital plays a partial mediating role in the relationship between both supportive use and controlled use and civil servants’ job performance;(3)organizational equity plays a moderating role in the relationship between supportive use and controlled use and civil servants’ job performance(3)organizational equity plays a moderating role in the relationship between both supportive use and controlled use and civil service job performance.Finally,the results are discussed and illustrated,and practical insights and research perspectives are presented.
