| Since the disintegration of the Soviet Union,Ukraine has finally become an independent and sovereign country. However, its unique geopolitics has made it encounter twists and turns in international diplomatic relations and national development for decades. From the perspective of the development of Ukraine’s national form, this paper analyzes how its geopolitical situation and historical background create a diversified political orientation, how the change of political tendency affects the strategic development process of Ukraine’s integration into Europe, and then how the diplomatic development orientation affects the national governance structure.Combined with this theoretical logic, this paper combs the track of the development and change of Ukraine’s national form in the past 30 years since independence, and draws the following conclusions: maintaining the unity of all ethnic groups in Ukraine is a necessary condition for establishing a stable political pattern in Ukraine; As a bridge between Russia and its European neighbors,Ukraine’s foreign strategic policy will directly affect the diplomatic relations between Russia and Western countries, which is an objective factor of Ukraine’s changing political situation over the years;Ukraine is Russia’s strategic red line and a battleground for NATO’s expansion of military power. On the one hand,Russia does not want to lose Ukraine, while the EU wants to ensure the security of the eastern allies, under the restraints exercised by the pressure of NATO.The two sides have played the power of controlling Ukraine for many years, which directly led to riots such as the Color Revolution and the Crimean crisis in Ukraine. The dispute between Russia and the United States is the key factor that ultimately leads to the ups and downs of Ukraine’s strategic integration into Europe. This paper holds that if Ukraine wants to seek development,it should also find a balance between adhering to entering Europe and maintaining national security and development, stabilize Russia Europe relations, weigh the diplomatic strategies of the East and the west, and draw lessons from the long river of history. |
