Marx’s view of the masses has profoundly revealed the power and role of the masses,making us deeply aware that the masses are the main participants in the historical process and have an important driving force that can facilitate the evolution of history.In practice,we need to fully mobilise the enthusiasm of the masses so that they can become an inexhaustible driving force for social progress and development.Therefore,the concept of the masses is of vital leading significance to our correct handling of the relationship between the Party and the masses,the strengthening of mass work and the development of the socialist cause with Chinese characteristics.However,Marx’s discourse on the masses is embodied in his different writings,which need to be collected,collated,interpreted and constructed by us.This study will help us to better understand the role and position of the masses in society,promote democracy and self-government,advance the development of socialist causes and the improvement of people’s living standards,and enrich and consolidate the socialist theoretical system with Chinese characteristics.This article first reviews the historical origins of Marx’s concept of the masses,analysing the ideas of "civil rights" of the Enlightenment thinkers,"subjectivity" of the classical German philosophers and "harmony" of the ideal socialists,in order to reveal their influence on the formation and development of Marx’s concept of the masses.This is a review of the historical origins of the Enlightenment thinkers’ idea of "civil rights",the classical German philosophers’ idea of "subjectivity" and the idealistic socialists’ idea of "harmony" in order to reveal their influence on the formation and development of Marx’s conception of the masses.By studying the inheritance and development of these ideas in Marx’s view of the masses,we can delve deeper into the historical origins,formation and evolution of Marx’s view of the masses.Then,a detailed and in-depth study and analysis is conducted on the content of Marx’s mass outlook.Finally,the value and practical value of Marx’s theory of the mass outlook is analysed in relation to the current practical situation in China.In Marx’s view,the decisive factor in social change lies in the creative power of the masses.This is because the material and spiritual wealth they create plays a vital role in promoting the progress and development of society.Although socialism with Chinese characteristics has entered a new era,we are still in the historical period revealed by Marxism.We must deepen our understanding of the Party’s mass line,make the mass line the lifeline of the Communist Party of China,always adhere to the people-centred development ideology,and truly put the people in the first sequence so as to continuously enhance the people’s creativity in social development and their sense of ownership in nation-building,and realise the common prosperity of all the people.In this process,it is all the more important for us to always implement Marx’s view of the masses,deeply recognise that the creative power of the people is a decisive factor in driving social change and progress,and that we must give full play to the subjective initiative and creativity of the masses,encourage and guide them to participate in the cause of socialism with Chinese characteristics,push our cause forward and achieve the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation. |
