The The Party’s Report to the 20 th CPC National Congress pointed out that it is necessary to uphold the rule of law in an all-round way,promote the construction of China ruled by law,inherit the excellent traditional Chinese legal culture,carry out in-depth publicity and education on the rule of law,and strive to make respect for law and lawabiding usage become a common practice in the whole society.The main foundation of China ruled by law is more citizens with the quality of rule of law.As an important special group of citizens’ rule of law education,the effectiveness of college students’ rule of law education has a great impact on the future process of rule of law in China,so the rule of law education in colleges and universities should become an important link that must be paid attention to in the construction of rule of law.In the new era,the basic strategy of governing the country according to law puts forward higher requirements for the growth of talents ruled by law.As an important part of ideological and political education,the development of ideological and political education in colleges and universities is of great significance to cultivate high-quality modernization talents with both morality and law and promote the process of building a modern country ruled by law in Socialism with Chinese characteristics.This paper mainly discusses from five aspects:The first part expounds the related concepts of rule of law education in ideological and political courses in colleges and universities,and clarifies the differences and connections between rule of law education and legal education,ideological and political education and other concepts.The second part expounds the principle of questionnaire design,analyzes the content and structure of the questionnaire,and sets the principles and indicators for evaluating the current situation of rule of law education in ideological and political courses in colleges and universities to ensure the scientificity and pertinence in the implementation of investigation and research.The third part,based on the field investigation of eight colleges of different types and levels in Hubei,makes an in-depth analysis of the effectiveness and existing problems of the rule of law education in ideological and political courses in colleges and universities in terms of curriculum,professional teachers,classroom teaching and extracurricular practice,institutional guarantee,teaching resources and teaching effectiveness.The fourth part,according to the appearance of the present situation and problems of the rule of law education in colleges and universities,looks for its deeper reasons,mainly from three aspects: macro-aspects,namely,national policies,institutional mechanisms;The middle aspect is the social environment,curriculum setting and implementation of colleges and universities;Micro-aspects are the coordination of teachers,teachers’ comprehensive quality,students’ legal literacy,psychological identity and so on.The fifth part,in view of the present situation,problems and influencing factors of rule of law education in ideological and political courses in colleges and universities,explores its development advantages and future development direction,puts forward feasible countermeasures,and makes constructive solutions and future research directions on how to promote the landing of rule of law theory and spirit,promote the innovative transformation of teaching mode of rule of law education,scientifically set up the course of rule of law education,and improve the comprehensive quality of rule of law teachers.
