ObjectiveThe study analyzed the distribution characteristics of the fingerprint patterns, details and patterns influence of han nationality in Liaoning province. The aim is to establish a reference which is about pattern sample of skin pattern in Liaoning province and explore whether the universality of fingerprint pattern influence in ethnic Han,so as to obtain new information about fingerprint patterns and the construction of detailed feature points, providing a certain reference basis for the judicial identification in Liaoning Province.MethodsFrom August 2019 to December 2019,100 han adults(24 males and 76 females)were randomly selected from a university in Liaoning Province.Their fingerprints were collected by fingerprint scanner(S680EW,500DPI).The images being collected are enhanced in Photoshop2019 and imported into TPS software to mark the fingerprint detail feature points.χ 2 test was used to analyze the difference of fingerprint pattern and detail characteristics between genders, the comparison of fingerprint combination pattern, and the difference of fingerprint pattern distribution with other populations.Principal Component analysis(PCA)and Spearman correlation analysis were used to explore the influence of fingerprint pattern.Results1.The fingerprint distribution frequency of han population in Liaoning province was L > W >A.Ulnar loop pattern was the main pattern of loop, and in whorl pattern,Simple arch pattern was the main pattern, and Arch pattern had the lowest frequency. In the male and female groups, the occurrence rate of starting point of detail features was 34.6% and 29.7%,respectively,and the occurrence rate of sticks was 5.0% and 2.7%,respectively.2.The fingerprint patterns of the Han nationality in Liaoning province were different between genders except for the bow pattern(P<0.05),and the five details were different between genders(P<0.05).Homonym means that there is no difference between genders between the same type of veins(P>0.05).3.In the combination pattern of homonym index of The Han population in Liaoning Province, the combination frequency ranked from high to the bottom in order of L/L>W/W>L/W>A/L>A/A>A/W.The observed frequencies of A/A(1.20%)L/L(41.20%)W/W(33.00%)were significantly higher than their theoretical frequencies of 0.20%,26.80% and 19.70%,L/W(19.60%),respectively.The observed frequency of A/W(0.80%)combination pattern was significantly lower than their expected frequency 46.00% and 3.40%.There were 21 combinations of A,L and W patterns in the hand five-finger combination pattern. In the comparison of observed frequency and expected frequency, male and female groups were in the range of 0,0 and 5.The observed frequencies in the combinations of 0,5 and 0 were all higher than the expected frequencies, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.01).In the female group 1,2,2.Male group 0,3,2;0,2,3;The expected frequency was higher than the observation frequency, indicating that the observation frequency of homogenous pattern combination increased, while heterogenous pattern combination decreased.4.The correlation analysis and principal component analysis of Han nationality population in Liaoning Province, the pattern distribution of dustpan and bucket pattern between fingers showed a significant positive correlation(P<0.01,r >0),and the pattern distribution between adjacent fingers showed a strong correlation(P<0.01,r >0.4).After orthogonal transformation, the dustpan pattern and bucket pattern were extracted into three principal components:thumb, index finger and middle finger, bucket finger and little finger, and the accumulative contribution rate was 64.952% and 65.972%,respectively.5.In the correlation analysis of detail features(starting point, end point, junction point and junction point)and the ten fingers of the Han population in Liaoning Province, the frequency distribution of the four detail features between the ten fingers showed a significant positive correlation(P<0.01,r >0),and the correlation between the dou finger and the little finger was strong(P<0.01,r>0.4).Conclusions1.The distribution frequency of fingerprint features in Liaoning province is not only common with that in other regions, but also has its own characteristics(L>W>A).2.The influence of fingerprint pattern still exists in the pattern of Han nationality in Liaoning Province, and there is a greater correlation between finger ends with the same name and adjacent finger ends with the same type of fingerprint(Loop and Whorl pattern).3.The influence of fingerprint pattern still exists in the detail features of han nationality in Liaoning Province. The similar distribution frequency and correlation of the same type of detail features are higher in the adjacent finger, especially between the finger and the little finger.
