| There is a new wave of techno nationalism around the world.Compared with traditional technological nationalism, this round of technological nationalism tends to be more protectionist in form and emphasizes national competition in the period of power transfer. With the continuous development of artificial intelligence, big data,5G and other information technology, the importance of technological innovation not only increases the public’s concern, but also causes some countries that do not occupy the leading position in this field to take extreme measures to boycott other countries’ technology industries or products. In this context, this paper takes India’s banning of Chinese APPS and various trade restrictions as an example to analyze the emergence of technological nationalism in India.India is a multi-ethnic and multi-religious country, and religious and ethnic issues are interwoven. Therefore, the study of its nationalism starts from the perspective of religious thought and ethnic characteristics. The traditional religious philosophy of Hinduism, after being improved by the pioneers of nationalism, provides theoretical support from religious thoughts for today’s Technological nationalism in India. At the same time,India’s ethnic conflicts, ethnic separatist forces, terrorism and other issues are intertwined, making India’s ethnic integration become the urgent goal of political parties in power. The ideology of technological nationalism has become a strong grasp of the national integration of the Bharatiya Janata Party, and the blueprint of promoting the party’s economic reform through technological innovation and finally realizing the "Indian Dream" has also laid a foundation for the election politics of the Indian Party.India’s pursuit of the identity of a great power in South Asia has also made it appear in various forms in geopolitics, and the geopolitical factors have also become the main external factors for the emergence of India’s technological nationalism.First of all,the competition between India and China for regional dominance makes technological development, especially digital technology, gradually become a powerful grasp for India to realize its status as a great power in South Asia.Secondly, with the eastward shift of international economic and political strategies,India’s international status is gradually rising. Its interaction with developed countries led by the United States not only enhances its national economic cooperation, but also inherits the tendency of Technological nationalism of the United States towards China in foreign ideology. |
