The Current Situation Of Voluntary Service Participation Of The New Generation Of Floating Population And Its Influencing Factors

The report of the 19 th National Congress of the CPC stressed the need to break down the barriers to population mobility and promote the development of citizenization.With the increasing expansion of the floating population,the new generation of floating population has become the "main force".How to promote its social integration has become one of the important issues of social governance modernization.Existing research have confirmed the positive impact of voluntary service behavior on social integration,but there is no consensus on the current situation of voluntary service participation of the new generation of floating population and the impact of some influencing factors.Therefore,analyzing the internal and external differences of the voluntary service participation of the new generation of floating population,deeply analyzing their participation and verifying the relevant influencing factors are the response and supplement to the existing research,which is of great significance to promote the social integration process of floating population and expand the social volunteer service team.This study uses CSS2019 data to investigate the current situation of voluntary service participation of the new generation of floating population.And this study also constructs a Generalized linear mixed model to explore whether each factor has a significant impact on the dependent variables,and draw the following conclusions.(1)33.4% of the new generation of floating population participated in various forms of voluntary service activities in the past year,which is higher than that of the older generation of floating population.Within the new generation of floating population,women,CPC members,non married,non-agricultural registered permanent residence and groups with relatively higher education levels have higher participation in voluntary service.(2)After constructing the generalized linear mixed effect model with the provinces and counties where the respondents are located as random effects respectively,the whole model and sub model with provinces as random effects have higher goodness of fit,and it is more suitable to be included in the research model as a random effect.(3)The empirical results show that among the capital factors,social security and social network have a significant positive impact on the voluntary service participation of the new generation of floating population,and the economic level may be affected by social factors,showing different effects before and after the model;Among the social factors,social justice and interpersonal trust have a significant positive impact on the voluntary service participation of the new generation of floating population.Institutional identity may have an interactive effect with interpersonal trust,which does not show a separate significant impact;Organizational factors;Among the organizational factors,registration management and professional training have a significant positive impact on the voluntary service participation of the new generation of floating population.In order to improve the voluntary service participation of the new generation of floating population,this study proposes some policy suggestions.Improve the basic insurance coverage and protect the legitimate rights and interests of the floating population.Provide community service support and broaden the social network of floating population.Enhance social equity and optimize the rational allocation of social resources.Optimize the social environment and improve the level of interpersonal trust.Pay precise attention to specific groups and make them volunteers.Standardize voluntary service organizations,optimize and enhance professional ability.Incorporate volunteer service into the scope of settlement bonus points and improve the utilization rate of volunteer websites.
