Research On The Problems And Countermeasures Of Investment Promotion In Suzhou Industrial Park

Since the reform and opening up,Investment Promotion has played a vital role in the prosperity of regional economy and the optimization of industrial structure,and has become the main source of power to promote the economic and social development of various regions.Especially in recent years,the advanced cities such as Suzhou,their investment promotion actions have introduced a large number of leading projects for this city,which injected vigor into the regional economic growth.Espeically,Suzhou Industrial Park has made remarkable achievements by the investment promotion actions,and won the championship in the comprehensive evaluation of national economic development zones for seven consecutive years(2016-2022).It has become a learning benchmark and accumulated a lot of replicable experience for other regions.However,Facing with the complex situation which caused by Covid-19,there are still some problems in the investment promotion activities of Suzhou Industrial Park,and the situation is becoming increasingly severe.It is necessary to face the Problems,strengthen research,analyze the causes,and put forward countermeasures to solve these problems,only with these actions Suzhou Industrial Park can develop to a new level.By using the methods of literature research,investigation research,and data analysis methods,This paper sorts out the measures for Investment Promotion which was conducted by the government of Suzhou Industrial Park in recent years,and demonstrates the achievements of Investment Promotion from three angles,economic strength and openness,industrial structure,and technological innovation.In addition,during the process of investigation,the author found that there are still some problems in the investment promotion work for Suzhou Industrial Park government,mainly including the obvious trend of transfer for the Processing and Manufacturing Industry;the fierce Competition for investment attraction in key emerging industries;the weaken willingness from Foreign enterprises to invest in Suzhou Industrial Park.The reasons for these problems are analyzed,mainly including the shortcomings of the related factors of Suzhou Industrial Park;the obvious characteristics of regional homogeneity;the frustrated actions for Investment Attraction under the epidemic situation of COVID19.Finally,the author puts forward some countermeasures to solve these problems based on relevant theories from three aspects,take measures to enhance the advantages of talent,land resources,and cost;determine the industry development orientation and implement regional cooperation and competition simultaneously;Innovate investment promotion channels and improve investment promotion effectiveness.
