In the context of China’s social transformation and the continuous development of urban communities,the relationship between the community and its residents has become closer.Among them,young talents have always played an important role in participating in community governance due to their characteristics of youth,high level of knowledge,and novel ideas.However,young talents are relatively independent,have a strong sense of democracy and rights,are more sensitive to matters related to their own interests,but they pay less attention to general public affairs in the community and have a low community participation rate.How to effectively mobilize young talents to participate in community governance and give full play to the wisdom and energy of such groups is undoubtedly an important research topic to promote the development of grassroots social governance.Suzhou Industrial Park is a national high-tech industrial base.It has introduced and cultivated tens of thousands of technologically innovative enterprises and attracted a large number of youth talents.Compared with other regions,Suzhou Industrial Park has a larger proportion of young talents.It has the advantages of stock resources in community governance,but it also faces challenges.This paper takes J Community in Suzhou Industrial Park as an example to study the participation of young talents in community governance.The results show that the participation of youth talents in Suzhou Industrial Park in community governance has achieved certain results,but there are still problems such as passive participation,insufficient depth of participation,obstructed participation channels,and poor participation effects.From the perspective of the reasons,it is mainly due to the lack of ownership of young talents,the lack of participation experience,and the imbalance between supply and demand for young talents to participate in community governance,the low degree of organization of young talents,and the strong administrative color of community residents committee.Therefore,it is necessary to start from the aspects of creating an atmosphere for young talents to participate in community governance,building a community service model that meets the needs of young talents,opening up channels for young talents to participate in community governance,and strengthening the autonomy and integration functions of community residents committee to promote young talents to participate in community governance.Transform young talents from "passers-by" in community governance to "masters" in community governance,and make young talents the core force driving innovation in community governance.
