| The brain drain of volunteer team has become an important crux that restricts the normalization and professional development of volunteer service in China.Preserving volunteers enables them to provide longer service, which can bring many benefits to the organization and society.Previous studies have used models to explain how volunteers participate in,experience, and quit volunteering. On this basis,in addition to the same attention to these factors, this study also expanded the original model, combined with the process model of volunteer service and the functional analysis theory,to further explore the reasons for volunteer participation, the role of volunteers’ emotional function in the process of volunteer service,as well as volunteers’ positive output, high input and continuous service intention. In this study,494 volunteers were surveyed as research samples, and the data were processed by statistical software SPSS26.0 and Amos24.0.First,the structural validity of the data is tested to see if there is a common method bias in the samples. Then, through descriptive analysis, frequency analysis of demographic variables of volunteers was carried out to determine sample characteristics. Then,Pearson correlation analysis was used to check whether there were collinearity errors among independent variables. Finally, using the basic flow of structural equation model, confirmatory factor analysis of second-order model,chi-square fitting degree evaluation of the overall model, hypothesis testing and mediation effect testing are studied..The results show that volunteer motivation has a significant impact on the emotions of volunteers.Volunteer motivation can enhance the positive emotions and relieve the negative emotions of volunteers. The enhancement of volunteers’ positive emotions can promote the improvement of volunteers’ involvement in volunteer service, while the alleviation of negative emotions has no such effect.Volunteers with higher commitment tend to be willing to stay and continue to provide services and have higher willingness to continue to serve. The emotion and involvement of volunteers play a partial mediating role between volunteer motivation and continuous service intention.Based on this, this study relies on the exploration and relationship verification of the influencing mechanism among volunteer motivation, emotion, job engagement and continuous service intention, expands the application of the volunteer service process model, and further deepens people’s understanding of the volunteer service process. At the same time,it also provides ideas for standardizing and promoting the development of the voluntary service industry, and provides theoretical reference for participants in the voluntary service industry to strengthen volunteer allocation, training and retention. |
