Research On The Professional Competence Of Public Security Intelligence Analyst

With the continuous deepening of the intelligence led policing strategy,China’s public security intelligence analysis work is playing an increasingly important role in public security work,especially in assisting public security decision-making,occupying an irreplaceable position.The rapid development of public security intelligence work has continuously increased the demand for public security intelligence analysts,and the requirements for their quality and ability are also increasing.However,due to factors such as regional economy,there is an imbalance in the development of public security intelligence work among different regions in China.Some underdeveloped areas have problems such as lagging construction of public security intelligence analysis teams,uneven quality of intelligence analysts,and difficulty in improving their abilities.This urgently requires drawing on advanced experience both domestically and internationally,combining with the actual situation of regional public security work,adapting to local conditions,developing practical and feasible selection mechanisms and ability standards for public security intelligence analysts,improving relevant regional systems,establishing and improving the training system for public security intelligence analysts,and better promoting the overall development of public security intelligence work.This study aims to summarize the advanced theories and practical experiences of predecessors and other countries,combine the actual needs of public security intelligence analysis work in underdeveloped areas of China with the current situation of professional competence of public security intelligence analysts,analyze the reasons for the insufficient professional competence of public security intelligence analysts in underdeveloped areas,and establish a systematic and comprehensive model of professional competence of public security intelligence analysts.Firstly,based on the research background and significance,fully understand the importance and necessity of studying the professional competence of public security intelligence analysts;Secondly,based on the research on the abilities of domestic and foreign intelligence analysts,combined with the current situation of public security intelligence analysis work in underdeveloped areas of China,the reasons for the insufficient professional competence of public security intelligence analysts are analyzed and summarized;Once again,based on advanced domestic and foreign experience and the actual situation in underdeveloped areas of China,establish a professional competency model for public security intelligence analysts;Finally,based on the professional competence model and analysis of constraints,targeted strategies and suggestions are proposed to enhance the professional competence of public security intelligence analysts in underdeveloped areas,in order to truly narrow the actual gap in public security intelligence analysis work between underdeveloped and developed regions.
