In human resource management,the importance of incentive is increasingly prominent,and gradually becomes a necessary means to guide the behavior of organization members to keep consistent with the organization’s goals.Incentive methods and means are of great significance for organizations to fully mobilize the enthusiasm of employees,promote the rational allocation of human resources and improve the labor efficiency of individuals and organizations.This thesis studies the incentive problem of police officers in forest police system of D City Public Security Bureau by using self-designed questionnaire.The self-designed questionnaire includes salary,benefits,forest police work intensity and work environment and so on a total of 11 dimensions of the problem to understand the forest police officers view of the existing incentives.The questionnaire is sent to police officers of D city public security bureau forest police system and cover all administrative levels and different ages,different departments and different job levels.The result of the survey shows the recognition degree of the work of D city public security bureau forest police officers gets the highest score,the evaluation of self-value realization ranks the second position which shows the police officers to itself and the social public opinion on the effects of forest police work has certain recognition and the work achievement is outstanding.But the following five aspects have low scores.From scoring lowest to highest,they are performance appraisal,future job development,organizational management,interpersonal relations and compensation and benefits.Among them,the three aspects with the lowest scores indicates that the current performance appraisal system is not completely suitable for all the existing police officers and the scientific assessment needs to be improved.At the same time,it also reflects the narrow promotion channels of the unit and police officers worry about their promotion prospects and career development.Based on the questionnaire and the interview result feedback,this thesis summarizes the existing problems in the incentive of police officers in the forest police system of D city public security bureau,including as below:(1)The assessment method of work performance is not scientific which leads to incentive is insufficient.(2)The training content is poorly targeted,and the training is mere formality.(3)The position promotion space is limited and the promotion mechanism is not perfect.(4)The incentive effect of compensation and benefits is limited.(5)The workload of some police officers is overloaded which leads to the incentive effect is reduced.(6)The complex interpersonal relationship affects the working emotion of police officers.For the above problems,this thesis puts forward the following countermeasures and suggestions:(1)Implement of comprehensive performance appraisal.This includes establishing post standards and post responsibilities,setting post performance appraisal standards differentially and scientifically,and linking performance appraisal results with bonuses and promotions closely.(2)Improvement of the effectiveness of training and education.This involves improving the attention to training and education of police officers,setting targeted courses and encouraging internal training.(3)Designing a scientific and sound promotion and security path.This includes establishing a scientific and sound selection and appointment mechanism and exploring career security paths.(4)Multi-directional implementation of preferential treatment to police.This includes humanized management,improvement of compensation and benefits of police officers in the forest police system,strengthening the health and personal safety of police officers,implement the vacation system.(5)Allocating the work of police officers reasonably under the premise of integrating human resources.This includes scientifically setting the positions of police officers,adjusting and optimizing the allocation of police forces,and strengthening the police human resources recruitment.(6)Building a harmonious police camp culture.This includes improving the police officers’ sense of integration,identity and belonging and promote police unity.
