With the accelerated urbanization process and the expansion of the city,a large number of landless farmers are passively relocated to resettlement communities to participate in the economic development and social life of the city.In the process of leaving their original place of residence and gradually transforming into "urban residents",the dislocated peasant groups are faced with changes in their living environment and a change in their working style from farming to non-farming,making them face various challenges in their new living environment, such as rising living costs, difficulties in employment, incompatibility with their lifestyle, incompatibility between their original concepts and customs and the functions of the city, etc. The challenges they face in their new living environment include rising living costs, difficulties in finding employment, incompatible lifestyles, inconsistencies between their old attitudes and customs and the functions of the city. Therefore, how to effectively cope with the pressure caused by the change of life situation and enhance the happiness of dislocated farmers has become a social reality that needs to be solved.Accordingly, the study focuses on the well-being of landless farmers. After formally identifying the existence of stress in the lives of dislocated farmers after moving to resettlement communities, firstly, relying on the stress process theory and based on the analysis of literature data, the stress caused by land loss is classified into five dimensions, namely economic security, social interaction, cultural rejection, psychological identity and housing status;based on the stress process theory, two mediating resources, namely social support and self-efficacy,are identified, and the Based on the stress process theory, the two mediating resources of social support and selfefficacy were identified, and corresponding research hypotheses were formulated to clarify the relationship between each influencing factor and build a theoretical model of the relationship between the happiness of landless farmers. Then, using in-depth interviews, the semantics and expressions of the observable variables were adjusted according to the results of the pre-study and interviews, and the 30 observable variables were clarified and tested for reliability to determine the formal questionnaire.Finally,the316 data obtained from the formal questionnaire were used to analyze and test the suitability and reliability of the theoretical model, determine the structural equation model, clarify the relationship between the factors influencing the happiness of landless farmers, verify the relevant research hypotheses, and obtain the degree of influence of each factor.Based on the results of the empirical analysis, strategies to enhance the well-being of landless farmers are proposed in three aspects, namely, alleviating the pressure caused by land loss, enhancing self-efficacy and improving social support, respectively, with a view to providing reference for the government to improve land acquisition and the subsequent management of landless farmers, which is of practical significance in promoting socialist modernization and achieving high-quality development.
