East-West Cooperation in Poverty Alleviation is a strategy made by the Communist Party of China to achieve coordinated regional development and a measure to achieve the goal of common prosperity.It has been playing a positive role in helping to overcome poverty for more than 20 years.2016—— on the 20 th anniversary of the launch of the East-West Cooperation in Poverty Alleviation,President Xi made new arrangements for the East-West Cooperation in Poverty Alleviation in the new period,the poverty-stricken ethnic areas in midlands were included in the assistance plan for the first time.2020 is the key year for China to achieve the first centennial goal,against this background,this paper aims to promote the economic development of minority poverty-stricken areas in midlands and build a sustainable working mechanism of East-West Cooperation in Poverty Alleviation.It adopts empirical analysis methods such as DID and PSM-DID,combined with theoretical analysis.This paper evaluates the economic effect of counterpart assistance policy in the central ethnic poor areas under the background of East-West Cooperation in Poverty Alleviation,and explores its mechanism.The main work and relevant research conclusions of this paper include three aspects:First,this paper finds that the counterpart assistance policy promotes the growth of regional GDP,and has a lasting effect by using DID and PSM-DID,;Second,counterpart assistance policy has no effect on promoting regional per capita disposable income;Third,after combing the relevant data to determine the intermediary variables,and using the intermediary effect test,it is found that the counterpart assistance policy under the background of East-West Cooperation in Poverty Alleviation can achieve local economic growth by helping the central ethnic poor areas cultivate characteristic agricultural products.Based on the above conclusions,this paper has three suggestions: first,strengthen the advantages of characteristic agriculture,supplement the shortcomings of characteristic tourism and labor cooperation,and take multiple measures to achieve a well-off society;Second,establish and improve supporting systems and norms;Third,strengthen financial support and expand the results of poverty alleviation. |
