Study On Network Public Opinion Of C County Government’s Response To Emergencies In The We-media Era

The revolution of communication technology has been brought by the continuous development of Internet technology.Meanwhile,people’s work and lifestyle are also changed by the rapid rise of self-media with digital communication technology.Nowadays,the development of media has ushered in the latest era-We media era.New network communication tools such as Weibo,We Chat and Tik Tok have established a brand-new context and constructed a new pattern of public opinion owing to their unique public opinion influence and social mobilization function.The development trend of network public opinion of emergencies has been vigorous in the We media era.Considering its diversified and discrete information dissemination methods,incomplete and fuzzy information and other characteristics,which causes harder control public opinion information.Besides,there is less time for county-level governments to give a response,thus,county-level government with the traditional response methods has encountered great challenges.This paper takes We media era as its research background,chooses the political system theory,life cycle theory and public governance theory,and takes C County’s emergency online public opinion response as the research sample.It analyzes the evolution of C County’s government’s response behavior to emergency online public opinion since the We media era by comparative research and case analysis,expounds the transformation of C County’s public opinion response from rough response in the past to comprehensive management now,and obtains its experience and enlightenment from comparative analysis.What’s more,it discusses the common problems and the reasons behind county-level government’s response to network emergencies in the We media era,such as untimely crisis warning,opaque information disclosure,inaccurate response guidance,inadequate communication channels between the government and the public,and inaccurate grasp of the evolution law of network public opinion in emergencies.Moreover,it suggested that county-level government’s response to network public opinion in emergencies should be improved and optimized following up the trend,including five aspects,namely,changing the response concept,strengthening crisis awareness,perfecting relevant systems,improvting the long-term response mechanism,and enhancing the information monitoring and management ability.
