With the rapid development of science and technology in our country,virtual reality(VR)technology has gradually penetrated into people’s daily life.Especially after the first year of metaverse,2021,and vr as a major entrance to mateverse,the application of virtual reality in life is essential,also at the same time,several cities and even country are always paying high attention to it.At present,our country’s aging population is gradually deepening.In order to actively respond to the aging of the population,it is necessary to increase the development of the elderly care industry around the elderly group.The combination of virtual reality technology and the elderly care industry not only provides technical support for elderly care services,improves the quality of elderly care services,and improves the elderly care environment,but also adds fun and excitement to the lives of the elderly,so that the measure is very necessary and feasible.This paper firstly analyzes and understands the existing literature on elderly care services combined with virtual reality technology,and finds that virtual reality technology can be well combined with psychotherapy and palliative care in the elderly care industry,thereby improving the negative emotions of the elderly.Therefore,the application of virtual reality technology in the above two links is reviewed in detail,including the background and current situation of the combination of fields,the main application methods and scenarios,the benefits brought and the existing deficiencies.Secondly,the paper puts forward an innovative efficiency enhancement scheme for the virtual scene construction in the actual application process.Through understanding,the elderly group mostly expressed a wish to see more of the outside world,or to return to places that they have been fond of in their deepest memories,such as some tourist attractions they have never been to or going home,etc.but being restricted for various reasons.Therefore,for content production,it is believed that 3D data such as the residence of the elderly can be quickly collected by means of 3D reconstruction of large indoor scenes,so as to construct virtual scenes.Based on this,the paper designs a technical route for fast transmission of 3D data in large scenes.Through the organic combination of neural network and octree algorithm,the point cloud data of scenes in real life are first divided according to object categories,and then the same objects or objects with similar point cloud distributions are spatially aligned,and finally,octree compression is performed on the point cloud groups one by one.Under such a complete set of processing,it can effectively help improve the efficiency of data during the transmission,and then allow the elderly to experience the customized VR scene more efficiently and quickly.Experiments have also shown that the technical route is effective.Finally,combined with the literature knowledge and the proposed 3D data transmission scheme,this paper independently develops a VR pension system aiming at serving the elderly care industry.The system uses several current mainstream software and hardware,including 3d max,Unity and HTC vive,etc.for model creation,environment rendering,and virtual-real interaction,and through relevant testing methods,it is verified that the system can run normally and the virtual scenes are supported.The functions can also be realized correspondingly,and can play a certain role in soothing the mind and body and exercising for the elderly.
