With the modernization requirements of the national governance system and governance capacity,more opportunities and challenges have been brought to the urban governance capacity.As an important part of the national governance system,urban governance is related to the success or failure of the modernization level of the national governance system.In my country’s existing urban governance pattern,the construction of urban agglomerations represented by specific regions plays a crucial role in promoting the modernization of urban governance levels.From a global perspective,urban agglomerations have become an important and major space carrier for social innovation and economic development.Urban agglomeration has become the main space carrier to promote innovation and economic growth.The "14th Five-Year Plan" emphasized the need to adhere to the implementation of major regional strategies and improve the system and mechanism of regional coordinated development.How to move towards higher-quality integrated development in the new journey has become the focus of academic circles Hot Issues.The urban agglomeration in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River(MRYRUA)is the earliest approved state-level urban agglomeration in my country.It is located in the middle reaches of the Golden Yangtze River Economic Belt.From the perspective of inter-governmental collaborative governance,this paper mainly expounds the achievements made;At present,the problems existing in the collaborative governance of urban agglomerations in the MRYRUA are that there are significant differences in economic development between sub-city clusters,industrial isomorphism and vicious competition,lack of partner institutions,industrial isomorphism and vicious competition,and insufficient integration of transportation infrastructure resources;The paper analyzes the reasons for the emergence and deterioration of collaborative governance problems in urban agglomerations in the MRYRUA;By learning from the collaborative governance of urban agglomerations in the United States and Japan,standing on the shoulders of the predecessors,based on the knowledge learned by the author,a series of targeted and more specific reference values have been proposed.
